Wait... so does this means we can "bury" people now?

Edit: asking because as far as I remember, highlanders are known for literally burying their opponents (jump set and release over some unlucky dude).

Nope. Without active mech collision it's impossible even in theory as i think.

Got some issues here with the new patch...glitches...

It's the first time it got me out of the game, i was on Alpine, crossing the hill from Epsilon to Sigma.

And on Caustic Valley it did quite a number on me. All fine, 3,4 minutes passed and then all the Physix came to life, all the bright colors, my screen was like a never ending rainbow. First time. I hit Alt Enter to show desktop, then got back to the game, it was normal again.

Dont know if anyone else asked about this... but is this a typo?

New Support Modules:

- Air Strike Accuracy
- Decreases the radius of the targeted area by 20%.

- Artillery Accuracy
- Decreases the length of the bombardment zone by 20%.

More shells and bombs in a smaller are = more damage on the targets in those areas.

Oh, the only good point - new thermo and night visions. Thermo is much closer to real deal now.

The game is suffering from some serious fps drops, running very jerky/cut. I just updated my drivers, problem persists... just what the hell you guys broke?

And no fix to the missles that was expected to correct the botched nurf job that was done in the march 21st hotfix? Unbeliveable

And missiles are still fubared. Fan-freaking-tastic. All the cry-babies got there wish. LRMs are practically extinct. SRMs, barely alive. Despite all the idiots who say, "they're just about right now", almost everyone has stripped every launcher off their mechs, or parked their missile boats in long-term storage. Why oh why do games constantly contract to the lowest common denominator? Really, it's related to Communism: if most people are a round peg in a round hole and you're a square peg, we're just going to hit you hard enough until you suck as bad as everyone else.

This patch has only confirmed what I already suspected:

As they try to add features/content the number of bugs will multiply exponentially
because PGI, with it's current coding staff, is not competent to develop a product
of this complexity.

The way patches are being shoved out, chock full of bugs, is very amateurish.

No money for you, PGI, you need to hire some real programmers that can comb your
poorly written code and clean out the conflicts.

To the folks who are saying the patch is so terrible they are leaving: I'd miss shooting you quite a bit. Could I possibly ask you to consider the possibility that lots of the issues you are having is due to overloaded servers and try back tomorrow instead of never? It is patch day, after all. I've got no data one way or another as to where the issues you're seeing lie but I think occam's razor would point to tend to point to load if it has been a while since you played on a patch day.

Update: Well I played this morning and performance was good. Did get the end of round hang, though.

Same here, first game out. Shut the program down and restarted. Same thing again - like a technicolor migrane headache.

Just making the glitch known

Jesus christ just put it the way it was before this damn patch... game is completely unplayable, I was sitting at 50 fps just fine, I just got down to 15 fps on river city and the game kept freezing/jerking whenever I shoot anything... what the hell?!!!

Yes, my drivers are up to date, stop suggesting generic fixes, they messed up, we NEED a fix NOW!

Well this patch increased the possible crashes from one to three. You can now freeze crash any time during game (old), you can freeze stuck after game (new), and you can stay forever in black screen during loading (new). If the game is trying to make me play less, I guess I got no choice but to comply.

I know we were supposed to decide how the missle band-aid "felt", all I feel right now is that this version of the game is unplayable. PGI please fix asap.

This... just tried another match, I was just watching a slideshow, was down to 10 fps...
Giving up, won't play until they decide to fix this...
