I was rather upset when I read that collisions were being held off until after launch. Its something that I too have been looking forward to seeing re-implemented ever since it was taken away.
Total BUMMER!...

Yeah but the light will most likely fall over as well. Which is where team play comes into it. Team play > exploiting light mechs

Who cares? I'm a light. I just took out your damn atlas, for 1! damage. No ac/20 shots, no srm 6 spam, and in return I can't fire 3 medium lasers. Ha, you have a splattercat, you're never standing up.

There was no team play. There was a line of mechs shooting at the people I knocked the **** down. The more lights you have, the more assaults you get to knock over without trying.

And you clearly don't know what exploiting is.

I don't think you've thought your cunning plan all the way through.


It just depends on how they work it. In CB, not many Jenners were able to knock down Heavy and Assault mechs unless they did that Jump Jet thing. But like they said, Teamwork. Hopefully you are knocking other mechs down around their friends and not around yours. And I would have my friends pound the light mech doing it.

FALSE. I knocked down everything but a dragon because dragons were bugged as ****. Nothing, nothing stopped a full speed jenner to the back.

And if you think battlemech/mechwarrior should be about who can knock over the other team the best you're ******* ********.

Funny, in a couple thousand closed beta games I saw such an even once.

...and it was on youtube.

I remember in closed beta when my team went up against 8 Dragons. The Dragons literally ran into one person killed him while he was down, repeat. Sure it could be use to kill lights, but most of the time it was being used to kill assaults since they couldn't fight back while down. I would much rather see a better implementation later, than the old implementation now.

I saw that video of a goon squad messing with Paul. They kept knocking over his catapult over and over. It was kind of funny, but I imagine it would really suck to have everyone doing that in game.

No like I said a COUPLE THOUSAND Closed beta games, as in games that I "me" played. They lifted the NDA in October.

That thing can only happen when you're for whatever reason on your own versus 3 or 4 of the other sides mechs though, if they hadn't been greifing they would have just killed him in short order and then moved on. So really its a non issue if you use team play (which you should).

Because I'm going to call ********? Everygame I was in it happened because I was the one doing it. I didn't give a damn about any of my weapons unless I was the last one standing or shooting you as I charged. If you were a light, medium, non dragon heavy, or an assault, your *** was on the ground as I typed "wait for the warp before shooting!" to my team.

So you were Dragon bowling? That makes you unique how?

That isn't want I was talking about, I mean teams locking down mechs completely for extended periods of time.

See: machineguns, LBX, flamers -and the subsequent weaksauce "buffs" that they got.

ECM and the good-but-not-quite-enough-and-long-overdue nerfing it got.

The LRM rollercoaster.

And of course, knockdowns.

We know good things are coming, but as for the bad things... well, we've just learned to resign ourselves to them being fixed "someday". Like Soviet citizens.

Jenner bowling. And who cares if no one did it the entire match, you only needed to do it once or twice to kill your opponent. It was stupid, and will be stupid unless drastically changed.

Thats the thing though, we're the customers and also the testers that are supposed to be telling PGI whats what. Giving up on stuff that you know will improve the game because PGI are being uncommunicative and slow is probably (its hard to tell) exactly what PGI wants us to do: shut up and buy some mc.

Funny part was all they had to do is back up.

Then again, you were also picking on low hanging fruit if you had time to bowl someone from full speed in a Jenner without an enemy blasting the **** out of you.

A jenner on the ground made for a drop everything moment.
