My problem is the build up surrounding it. They could have just said "hey! look at this thing we did with Razer!" rather than the whole countdown thing.
They over-estimated people's interest I think. Yeah, they got us all talking about it.... but for the most part, we are all disappointed.

Wow.
Problem is that Razor has a habit of over pricing controllers and since well this is going to have a built in screen.
Well enjoy the 200$ controller.

I personally think it's great. I love a good joystick, and I love the fact they are partnered with a big worthwhile company.
I also love the fact that if there is a separate screen in this model, then dual screen or what ever is a likely hood for all of us budding sim-pitters out there.
This is a bigger announcement than a mech. this, at the very least, is faith in the product from another successful company.
Aside from anything else, the way Steel battalion players go on about how awesome a custom controller is...makes me want one. though I already have a flight stick. in fact, I have two flight sticks, now. hmm.
I would liked to have seen more than a concept though...

I want one...but I'm worried about SLI driver problems with that screen, as with the Logitech G19 keyboard...and Razer has never made a joystick before, that I know of, so I'm concerned about that as well. Also, I hope it doesn't have Saitek internals; the last two Saitek sticks I had came with rather large, unadjustable deadzones that made fine motions nearly impossible.

What you should take from this, is that there is interest enough in MWO out there that people would even consider this, its not a must have its an optional for fans that want/afford one, nobody is ramming it down your throats saying you must have one to play.

Joystick : $80 w/FFB, $60 without. Screen, $100, Keypad, $50
So yeah, $290.
But you could get away for $60 if you wanted to... it looks very modular and awesome, and welcome addition to our new game. Fanbase reaction today over this = Fail. Just calling you out, like you are PGI. You guys suck, this reveal is awesome. What'dya want, the Spider concept art? Yaaay.

Think about it, one monitor = just game, two monitors = one plus one unused, but three monitors = eyefinity with game on all three monitors. So if you have just two monitors, the second is going to waste. If we could put that map up on our second monitors that'd be way awesome.
Also, whether or not that monitor is a touchscreen. It'd be awesome if we could ping areas of the map or drag a line from the mech we're talking to to show where to go like how the guy in the mechcommander intro.
