I could use my Thrustmaster Warthog and MFD Setup wich i use for DCS A-10.
But with the extras screen on artemis i think there is hope that we can export the radar to a normal second monitor.
Edit: And i forgot: Track-IR support would be a blast.
I'm hoping this means Multi-monitor screens for cockpit monitors.....exporting screen regions to external displays..... Maybe even Helios type integration?????

Sorta like taking hands off the controls to type messages since there will be no voip built in.
The joystick looks cool, but I don't think it'll actually give a performance upgrade over a mouse, especially with a touchpad on the left hand side next to the keypad, talk about poor positioning, that's where our left hand is likely to rest.

They're just upset that they have to wait longer to play the game, I think they all secretly hoped it was an extra 100,000 beta keys or something.

Wow.
If you're the kind of person with the time, money, and inlcination to build out a vastly complicated control system for your games, there are already lots of options out there for doing that. Maybe this one will be a little better than the others. Okay... good, I guess?
For everyone else, it's just kind of irrelevant. I would have been much more interested in something directly related to the game, even if it was just a reveal of the Unseen or some other notable tidbit of info about game features or content.

Yeah he died just recently. http://en.wikipedia....iki/Eduard_Khil
And in regards to us not being happy that they've gotten a major endorsement from a peripheral company to make a joystick with MWO in mind, that's not the point we're making. The reason I'm mad is because of the hype train that was created for something that only appeals to a minor audience, and even less that can afford it. Something a lot cooler could have been released for this amount of hype, and as such it was a huge letdown to me.

Still, nice to see MWO is getting this kind of attention!

No, no it ******* didn't. If you're the kind of person who said "PGI overhyped this! They should've known," no, they didn't. This wasn't anywhere near 'overhype.' PGI mentioned it once on their main page and left a passive page that updated every day. They weren't shoving it down your throats, you were swallowing it whole and now you're disappointed because this "won't affect you."
There's no legitimate reason anyone should be less interested in MW:O because this controller is announced. If you're currently raging at PGI over this, I shudder to think what 'horrible flaws' and 'terrible mistakes' you'd find once the game drops. There's no two ways around it, you ARE that kind of person, and the game doesn't need you.
While it does suck that it's only a concept controller, PGI is reaching out to a portion of their fanbase without hurting others, and collaborating with a well-known company in the process. Good on them.
If you really want to rage about a game company, go play EA games.

You seem to be mistaking disappointment and disinterest for entitlement.
e: To clarify, I certainly wouldn't say we were "owed" anything, but they did go to a lot of trouble to get everyone ramped up. It's incumbent on them to make sure the payoff is commensurate with the buildup.

Yes, and actually a break of immersion, not improving it. The only possible benefit is if your virtual MFDs on the main screen have different view modes you can't see simultaneously.

That's fine, but few people are staying quiet and acting like it's irrelevant. Instead, there's a bunch of entitled rage and chicken littling. Such is the internet, I suppose.

Im rethinking my founders package...
what does a control system have to do with you buying a founders package?
They have already said they are working with major joystick manufacturers and mouse/keyboard combo is supported.
Seriously, the butthurt replies on stuff like this amazes me the human race has survived this long...

Damn, that's sad. Just to commemorate the man, I think I'm going to change the startup sound for every computer at my work to the Trololo Song.
