I don't have a problem with the Stick (besides that its not made "for me" and therefore will not be bought). But for me there are much more important issues that need to be addressed, like the whole Founders Pack, Server Migration and Regional Servers chaos.

No, no it ******* didn't. If you're the kind of person who said "PGI overhyped this! They should've known," no, they didn't. This wasn't anywhere near 'overhype.' PGI mentioned it once on their main page and left a passive page that updated every day. They weren't shoving it down your throats, you were swallowing it whole and now you're disappointed because this "won't affect you."
There's no legitimate reason anyone should be less interested in MW:O because this controller is announced. If you're currently raging at PGI over this, I shudder to think what 'horrible flaws' and 'terrible mistakes' you'd find once the game drops. There's no two ways around it, you ARE that kind of person, and the game doesn't need you.
While it does suck that it's only a concept controller, PGI is reaching out to a portion of their fanbase without hurting others, and collaborating with a well-known company in the process. Good on them.
If you really want to rage about a game company, go play EA games.
Kind of harsh, people aren't saying that the controller is a bad thing, (its actually kind of cool) just that a majority of the people think it was overhyped (a days long countdown for a concept controller?)... and if the majority think its overhyped, then it is... if you don't think it is, good for you have fun with the joystick.

Um, no. Most of us are rather peeved that after all that build up we get this.

Rather than say...oh don't know..exclusive information on the game like more info on Inception, a new mech, hell, with that build up I was hoping each class except assault would get another chassis, where assault would get two.

2) LOL @ every nub thinking it was a mech announcement. Told you so.
3) Meh. The concept is cool, but this will be:
• Outrageously expensive. My current TM Warthog HOTAS cost $500. Not likely to shell out for a peripheral for a single game.
• Joystick is inferior to mouse.
• Does it come apart? Looks like it's locked into one unit which could be problematic.
• Skeptical about level of support and use outside of MWO. The Logitech keyboard screen are already mostly useless, this would probably be way worse.

My thinking goes like this:
Because it's Razer, I probably won't buy it - their build quality leaves something to be desired over the long term, and the prices on their peripherals (particularly the ones with the integrated LCD screen) are incredibly expensive. Knowing Razer, the price on this will be somewhere in the $250-$300 range, and it might run as high as $500. At that price, you're in Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS territory. And if I could afford one of those, I'd have already bought one by now.
Now, that having been said... I completely understand why PGI hyped this the way they did. Razer is a huge company. HUGE. They make deals with Blizzard and Bioware to make custom, tagged peripherals. To have the opportunity to join the big-name players like that with a named, customized peripheral is gigantic, especially given the fact that MWO isn't even out yet. Just having the Razer name attached is a big boon for PGI in general and MWO in particular. There's no way this isn't an advertising coup for PGI, even if Razer never sells the damned thing.
TL;DR: I won't buy a Razer peripheral, but PGI's excitement over it is totally understandable.
This is probably good for the game. And generally what's good for the game is good for us as players.

I am HAPPY that PGI made a MWO Joystick. Looks pretty cool and all. I was looking forward to actually buy one, right up to I decided to get my X52 Pro like 2 weeks ago.
I find BAD how Marketting was handled with the Artemis Controller. It should have been announced BEFORE Beta keys started to be handed over. I bought my X52 Pro to be ready for Beta, since PGI didnt seem to have anything planned Controller wise.
- Secrecy/Conspiracy about in-game stuff = cool
- Secrecy/Conspiracy about a game peripheral = /fail from Marketting
