***THIS IS A PETITION NOT A POLL, THEREFORE THERE IS NO OPTION TO VOTE NO***

There was already a poll and 70% of the people surveyed want a stock game mode:

http://mwomercs.com/...only-game-mode/

I would love to have a stock only mode. The idea of trying to recreate the feel of the lore from the BattleTech/MechWarrior universe is something I would love to do. I'm sure anyone who would want to play in a stock Mech league feels the same way. My main goal is finding a way for players to try to recreate that sense of feel that a number of people are looking for.

This would be another game mode like assault/conquest. We would have:

Assault
Conquest
Any
Assault Stock
Conquest Stock
Any Stock
Training Grounds

Mechs should revert back to their stock loadout when a stock game mode is selected.

If you want a stock mech game option, vote yes and get your friends to vote too.

That was rather quite rude, bombing a Suggestion Thread like this with such a comment. The OP is obviously requesting a Stock-Only Game option, and not the "ability" to run Stock Mechs.

I am requesting that we all treat the OP's suggestion more seriously, and please keep our comments on-topic.

Down the road, the Developers will be adding in more Game Modes, for instance they have mentioned that they want to add a Solaris-type Colosseum fighting mode, and other modes will come too. A Stock-Only mode might be interesting.

(Note - The Poll is obviously not serious, though, so anyone can feel free to discuss that particular quirk of this Suggestion thread).

not only WAS he on topic, he was right.
And it wasnt rude to point out we already have the option to run this mode, you just use trial mechs

Why should I take the thread seriously when the only poll options are "Yes"?

I can't imagine why anyone would want to roll in a stock mech. As the Trial Mechs show, they are absolute garbage. Customizing mechs to suit individual preferences is the great thing about MWO. Without it, MWO loses a lot of its appeal, at least for me.

Several posts have been unapproved from this thread. Please keep discussion related to the idea of a Stock-Only Mode, where all participants have to drop in Stock Mechs. This is unrelated to the idea of having access to "trial mechs" in the General Gameplay modes.

Please use this thread to discuss the idea of a Stock-Only Game Mode, and not to discuss other things. Other threads can be used to discuss other things. Thanks everyone.

I like the idea of an unmodified stock car division.

You can still but any mech, even heroes, just those mechs are unable to have any of their loadout upgraded from showroom new.

This would have a real TT feel to it when everybody on the field is stock....could make future Clan infiltration more interesting as well IMHO.

You still get currency like any real match as well as piloting perks...just no gear on that mech...you can still queue for normal matches on your 17 million dollar Frankenzilla.

Maybe as a suggestion, we could have a mode where you choose Trial mechs and you all get matched together with only ppl that have chosen trial mechs

PP is right, VR didn't read the OPs suggestion properly or just wanted to troll. I would have handled it differently though.

fair enough :D

I want stock mechs because using them will make it feel more like the lore that this game is SUPPOSED to be based on. To me, this game looks like MechWarrior, but it feels like GenericRobotWarrior. I'm finished playing GenericRobotWarrior.

I like my idea. You just have to add a button that says "trial mechs only" and add that option to the matchmaker. Or that seems to be the easiest way to do it off hand to me.

Please fix the poll.

On the topic, if this game-mode was made, I would want to have access to any of my owned mech variants in their stock load outs.

I honestly wonder how many people would be in a stock mechs queue... outside of the newbies, it could not be enough.

Although, it would probably beat 8-man teams @ certain hours of the day, but it would decay just as easily.

So, just limit to the 4 trial mechs out of the how many stock variants? Boring. Like the OPs idea better.
