Making it a little more heat friendly is no bad thing. Once they are in the swing of things they can customise.

PPC/gauss highlander jumpfest - check (today had enough of having 4-5 highlanders jumpsniping constantly)
ER PPC, ER PPC everywhere - check (did I see another sniper map coming?)
Annoying things starting to build up faster and faster.

He has a point. At the moment, each new map requires a whole new set of art assets, which takes longer. New maps would mean new tactics, which are after all what makes this game interesting. I personally wouldn't care if visually they were a remix of e.g. caustic or frozen city... the more the better.

The only reason why I'm burned out is because of poptarting, when I do play I only use highlanders.. because it's the only thing that works. Hopefully brawling comes back some day. The large maps on a higher rotation certainly doesn't help also.
Canyon is coming soon also.. so we will have alpine, tourmaline and canyon. You would have to be insane to try and drop with a brawler after that.
Sure we have that whole voting/multiple mech choice drop coming with ui 2.0. Sometime in the year 2025

If you wish to brawl then brawl. If you don't know how ask for help, don't blame it on the game.

That's how it always is when a weapon is doing more than it should. LRM apocalypse was the same thing, except worse. Take a break if you're getting bored of bug hunting and testing, at least until next patch which should be a good one.

At least you can outrun lrms, LoS lrms, LoS the enemy, AMS, etc... *cough*ecm*cough*
Speaks volumes about how much the meta fluctuates at the moment. A time when everyone was like "omfggggg **** lrm boats" and now if you walk out in an lrm boat people blink their eyes and go "lol omg an lrm boat" and snipe its head off.

Since Missile HSR is expected to be completed, you might as well "fix missiles" AND "balance missiles" at the same time. It took the ballistic/projectile HSR to be completed to have people NOW want PPCs to be rebalanced.
Sometimes I swear people do not want to connect dots that were laid out to them.
Even the new UAV is NEXT patch... but I guess repeating stuff that have been mentioned before is easier to do than to actually READ.

-Mechs now stay targeted after they die for around 2sec so players can see how they killed the target instead of losing the target right away.
This was a feature a long time ago, but something broke and a new feature fixed it up again.
Break this again please.

Simple solution to the lack of content in this patch is to give this community the same tools and ability to generate maps and mech models. Obviously they would need to go through a checks and balances from PGI but it would alleviate the burden and allow all resources on to building a game to play.
I'm tired of this mantra from PGI that player generated content would be sub par. I am sure most of it would meet if not exceed the standards I have seen so far. Hell, the maps implement as they stand have many issues still unresolved from closed beta. What does PGI have by giving the community the tools to help make this game a success. I guess the captains at the helm would rather the ship sink knowing they did their way, then to have the ship go down because they released community tools.
I should amend to this that I still play the game, but am deeply frustrated by the grand secrecy around many critical aspects of the game. With Neverwinter out I have not played a match in two or three days. I patched the game today, logged in, and logged right out knowing that I will not be missing any important event.
