1) Clan pilots will start with a non omni mech (a IIC version of the IS mechs)
2) The clan economy will be based on honor points for doing honorable stuff in battle
3) Yes the MC costs will be rediculous

No.
Second-line mechs are... well... second line. The invasion is full of front-line mechs, because those are what you send in your front line.
Besides, they're not going to release a dozen second-line mechs right off the bat, along with several Omnis, just so people have something to drive while they grind for an Omni. There's a time-line, and mechs that aren't even seen until after Tukayyid are NOT going to be the first mechs seen in-game.

- Engine prices are based on rating AND weight of chassis while MWO is priced just on rating. So for MWO the price should be little lower
- Omnimechs cost 25% more than than the exact same mech that is not classed as an omni
Since the only difference between the various configs is the weapons loadouts, there should be no reason to have to buy 3 variants of an omnimech. Currently each variant of a mech has specific quirks and hardpoints it make sense to have to purchase 3 of them to master. So if you only need to purchase the omni once to master it, it makes sense to that it would cost 2-3 times the cost of a similar mech that was not an omni.

I'm sorry, but you're showing a crushing lack of understanding of player psychology here.
The devs have said that clans will work similar to the great houses, most players will want the freedom of choosing a planet to capture and hold, which has been hinted to be a perk of joining a merc corp.
And there was a poll that showed most people were unsure of or would not join the clans, and that was in the clan subforum where a higher then average number of players are presumably pro clan.

As long as theres some metagame disadvantage; not being able to own dozens of mechs, or not being able to chose your planet/map, or more limited ways to customize your mech to name a few, then most people will stick with merc corps and the IS. The clans can be made to appeal to role players and hard core clan enthusiasts while keeping their defining characteristics.
