Just a quick "grab bag" of notes to hopefully make writing Li into scenes easier. Questions or feedback are welcome.
- Li has long hair, almost all the way to her waist long. She is graying prematurely, and the hair around her temples and ears is almost white. Most of the rest of it is still a deep black, making the white bits stand out. This has the effect of making her look older than she actually is.
- Li will typically wear a simple "duty uniform" jumpsuit while aboard ship. Light gray, with burnt orange paneling. Patches with the Terror's "Double T" logo have been carefully sewn over the Havoks emblem on each shoulder, though the arrow wheel can still be seen peeking out from the edges. Her hair is usually pulled up tight against the back of her head, and secured in place with netting that matches the gray of her uniform.
- Li is not particularly prone to space sickness. She has been planetside for a while, and her antics in the 'Mech bay have triggered a nasty bout of vertigo. She's really feeling it at the time of the briefing, but it will fade as time goes on.
- Li's skin tone is strange-- where Cee's complexion is white, Li's skin has an almost gray undertone to it. Under certain lighting she can look sickly, but it is simply the after effect of growing to adulthood under artificial lighting. Though she has gotten better at hiding it over the years, Li's body will never fully adapt to standard gravity. She has a tendency to grow fatigued at one gravity or higher.
- Li has very pronounced epicanthic folds, which tend to cause her eyes to narrow significantly when she scowls or smiles. Despite her name and appearance, Li did not grow up with an Asian cultural background. The Rim Collection can best be described as a cluster of frontier worlds with a heavy libertarian flavor-- this character would not be out of place in the "Firefly" setting.
- Li is riding a definite "high" at the start of S&S. Everything is being viewed through a filter of "I have my 'Mech back!". There is a "first day of summer vacation" air about her, and she will be quick to laugh and quicker to smile. There is a little bit of slapstick to this character-- while she is a good salesman and diplomat as required by her job, in the right environment and with the right crowd she will be one of the first to start a spitball fight.

Name: Leutnant (ret.) Andrew Wheeler
Callsign: ‘Doc’
Date of Birth/Age: 3036 - 27 years old
Current Mech: Timber Wolf Prime (modified)
House Affiliation: Lyran originally, now unaffiliated
Military History: Former LAAF 3rd Donegal Guards. Participated in Operation ‘Bird Dog’ dropping with the Donegal Vanguards on Tarazed. After seven days of action behind enemy lines, Wheeler was rescued by the first wave of Operation Bulldog, the sole survivor of his lance, and one of only four to make it off alive. Following the action on Tarazed, Wheeler was reassigned to the rear to an administrative post. Shortly thereafter he retired from active military service.
Physical Description: Height approximately six feet, with an athletic build. Ruddy, auburn hair, kept somewhat short, but longer than military regulations would have had it. He wears olive drab BDU pants with combat boots most often, and simple T Shirts that are often given away at free Solaris events. He often wears a sand colored canvas jacket, spotted all over with oil and grease stains. His only weapon is a LAAF combat knife sheathed in his right boot. Often wears a LAAF field cap kept low over his eyes to avoid making eye contact with those around him. He’s still very personable once he gets to know you, but can be extremely shy at first blush, especially around women.
Open Background: Born on Hillerod near Donegal, Andrew Wheeler was a rather shy but caring child. Merely 14 when the clan invasion occurred, Wheeler was spared the horrors of the conflict, and the images of the battered and maimed troops returning home inspired him to go into medicine. Unable to afford passage offworld, Wheeler attending a local medical college, where he acquired passable medical skills. However, as troubles with the clans continued, Andrew decided to leave the medical college early, prior to completing his degree. Wheeler successfully applied to the LAAF, and was assigned to the prestigious 3rd Donegal Guards, in part to replenish depleted ranks with members from systems close to Donegal. Wheeler distinguished himself in piloting a battlemech, despite having to learn in an ad hoc fashion. During his time in the Guards, Wheeler’s medical training was found to be of great use, especially in the field when Mechwarriors would often be cut off from the rear and proper military aid. As is common, Wheeler’s experience led him to acquire the callsign “Doc”, which he accepted with pride. When word came down for volunteers for Operation Bird Dog, a guerrilla mission behind clan lines, Wheeler jumped at the chance to prove he belonged in the Guards as a true mechwarrior. Following the operation, and his subsequent retiring from the service, Wheeler found himself wanting to take his life in a new direction. Following several failed attempts at non military careers, (including attempting to be a landscape photographer) Wheeler found himself broke, and down on his luck. With his last few CBills, Wheeler traveled to Solaris to hopefully find work as an advisor or tech with one of the many Solaris stables. Unfortunately, no one was willing to hire a former mechwarrior as a full time tech, and it quickly became clear he had no other option. With no other choice but to return to being a mechwarrior, Wheeler bounced from job to job, unable to find meaningful work due to being dispossessed. One night, during a particularly drunken exchange with the head of a Solaris Stable, Wheeler managed to win a battered Bushwhacker in a somewhat dubious Solaris match. With a newly acquired mech, and a desire to get as far from Solaris as possible, Wheeler and his mech bought passage on the first available transport to Outreach. Once he arrived at Outreach, Wheeler quickly sold the Bushwhacker and used the last of his money to ship the Timber Wolf to him in secret. Upon meeting Thom in a bar late one night, and signing up with the terrors, Andrew arranged to have the mech brought aboard the Pride in time for their departure. Wheeler spends almost every night sleeping in the cockpit of the mech, keeping to himself and finishing up the last of the repairs to his salvaged mech. With nothing else to his name in the universe, he is extremely protective of it.
Deep Background: Despite desiring to own a mech and become a mechwarrior once again, Wheeler has rather severe PTSD, and often has graphic nightmares. Wheeler is extremely apprehensive about returning to combat, but feels that he has a special bond with his new mech, and hopes that it will protect him more than its former master.
Background of the Timber Wolf
In the closing days of Operation Bird Dog on Tarazed, Wheeler found himself stalked through Eksander’s Swamp by a “Prime” Mad Cat variant. It slowly peeled Wheeler away from the rest of his unit and slowly but surely whittled him down from a far. In a last ditch effort, Wheeler worked his way into the midst of a vibromine field they had constructed in the swamp. Terrified and faced with death, Wheeler watched as the Mad Cat stumbled into a mined pit face first and detonated the trap, killing the pilot but leaving the mech relatively intact. Relieved to be alive, wheeler made his way back to his own lines to be one of only four survivors to be recovered. After his time in the military, Wheeler booked passage back to Tarazed in an attempt to conquer his demons and overcome his nightmares. On a whim, he decided to try to find the mech that had almost killed him and surprisingly enough, succeeded. Alone and moss covered, the Jaguar mech lay as he had left it a few years before – a silent monument to the tense battle the two had fought.
Selling all of his worldly assets that he had remaining, Wheeler managed to hire a salvage crew to drag the mech out of the swamp and store it in an old warehouse. Most of the clan weapons were either destroyed or he sold to keep the salvage crew quiet, but for months he toiled in secret to repair his former nemesis. Still not quite complete, Andrew now has the resources and the knowledge to finish his repairs and serve the Terrors faithfully.

Also, a conversation with Nomad reminded me to point out the following:
I'm treating this somewhat like a PnP RP. There's some stuff I'll be rolling for, some stuff that you guys simply won't notice unless you go looking for it. For example, Nomad has a theory we aren't really fighting the Falcons. If he wanted to find out for sure if we were, he could by posting here telling me he's going to go and try and investigate by asking around with the Irregulars.
I'd then check how he intended to do so and then fire some PMs his way with what, if anything he finds.
TL, DR; not everything is getting spelled out for y'all. Sometimes you are gonna have to communicate with the GM

Any chance we have some Reflec armor panels onboard? Li and/or VEST would have footed the bill for those.

Noted.
Cees wants to express his frustration, however is aware that the others at the table would want to ask questions/share concerns and would be more socially appropriate. I'll hold off on posting a reply just yet.
Also, Rogue, as the XO, would Cees know about the Mad Cat? Becasue if there's a clan mech sitting next to his Uziel that he doesnt know about, I refuse to be held responsible for his actions
