SW = Succession Wars?

Tandem charges sound fun. They're used iRL for defeating AMS/ERA and spaced armour, so I could see how they might be highly effective against BA.

Okay, as you've all no doubt noticed, S&S was supposed to go live today. Unfortunately iRL kind of exploded into things needing done and distractions over the last week. I'll be getting us rolling as soon as possible, but I can't give much of an ETA other than 'Probably before Friday.' Anything you want to do before Coventry, get it out quickly.

I'm just along for the ride haha. I don't have any side plots or anything but am willing to interact with others haha. Just waiting to be noticed :-P

Maybe some flashbacks and character quirks from me... That's if I still have internet from when things get interesting. Those Verizon people are sure getting persistant with notifications that we're past due on our payment...

My plan was to wait for the other pilots to interject during the briefing with questions for Thom, and have Cees quietly muse to himself. Might keep asking questions for him to keep the ball rolling.
Also, need to credit Spokes with an idea to have a strength/weaknesses/combat experience dossier on a pilot for Cees to assess, comment on and use once we’re dirtside.
If you guys are happy to draft one up for him to use, it’d be a great way to add some depth to his XO role. PM me with it if you're paranoid about the other pilots knowing how you tick :P

Oh good, the first briefing is done. I'll be moving us ahead ~on Monday. I have promised Sparks a War Orphans post so we'll need to see how long that takes me. I've only a few hours around iRL engagements with this game project I'm running I'm afraid, and much of it is being taken up by further iRL engagements.
Seriously, since when do I have a social life in this country?

Totally understand. New internet plan started yesterday... so I'll be around for a bit. *tosses confetti* I know this belongs in the OOC for War Orphan's but do you know if Nomad is waiting for me to post the arrival of his flyboys? (and girl) Just wondering.

Just a heads up, we're moving on Monday and there will be a brief period afterwards where I'll be down to a smartphone for internet access.

Rogue has asked us to post a thing or two encompassing the next few "in story" days - so I put a post up for all to enjoy. The tech I had in mind was sparks' but feel free to make another if anyone wants to interact with my guy. Feel free to intercept him before he gets there too, just looking for someone to talk to at the moment haha.

Thanks for that Nomad, I meant to say that myself. I'd rather not hop from one briefing straight into another so I was hoping people could fill *some* of the intervening time between February and the 12th of May with reflections on the existing briefing, training, getting plastered...whatever. The Achille's Pride will be being transferred between a whole bunch of Jumpships; what's known as a Jump Circuit. Instead of the usual 2 week wait, the wait between jumps will be anywhere from a week to just a few hours as the dropship is transferred over. On the 17th of May, you'll arrive on Coventry and be transferred to the RAI Invader class dropship The Drunkard's Walk.

Does the Pride have a bar/club/place to get drunk/relax on board? I have no idea the facilities on it so its hard to be social lol.

Nope on the club/bar.

But there'd be a rec area (most likely the mess hall) I figure the mess hall can double for a rec area with foldout/rotating tables for gaming and maybe some time of interactive videogames. But it'd be nothing specactular.

In regards to alcohol, there's most definately some on board somewhere. Thom would have some stashed away in the rats-nest he calls his cabin. And the uh.... (totally forgot he famililes name) dropship people would have some of that stuff the Greek folks like to drink. (Drawing a blank there as well)

I give you guys the green light (within reasons of course) to be creative with the booze/rec area just don't go overboard with the 'Pride having more beer that the Free World's League or caches of exotic and ungodly priced whiskies either.

Awesome post Shepard! I never sent you a dossier to reinforce the mystery of Andrew. Hope you don't mind haha. Feel free to create character interaction with him at any time. I like surprises.

Whelp, just noticed that the Uziel isn't made for another two years and Cees has had it for three already. Gonna let you keep it Shep - up to yourself if you know you have some horrendously early prototype or not ;)
Spare parts are going to be in very short supply.
