Sorry for the weird response Shepherd. Wheeler's super personal about his history and his mech and that reaction is what felt natural at the time. Don't worry though. I'm working on something with sparks that will force Wheeler to come clean to the team and force him to be more open. Feel free to write a response to my post with Cee's reaction etc. Looking forward to seeing your point of view haha.

Well, sort of.
The Rotary AC/5 doesn't come out until 3062...but the Argus AGS-4D came out in 3059 (according to Sarna) or 3061 (according the MUL) and carries a Mydron Model RC RAC/5. So I don't know what's going on there.
But yeah, in any case, the Ardent-5 is a prototype, not a production model.

Oh damn, hadn't occurred to me that rolling back the date as we discussed would make the Uziel not a thing yet. Well, the 2x PPC variant -was- the prototype... I suppose. Battle of Coventry could have been the first field test? >.>
In all seriousness, when the Uziel was first deployed and tested, it was to an underwhelming response. I'd ret-con the fact that Cees received one of the first test run variants from the Defiance Factories in much the same way as in his bio, but that Steiner was "gifting" what they saw as an unsuccessful mech design to the Wolf's Dragoons as a way of payment for their services in the battle. They in turn conveniently let Cees keep the mech he piloted during the Battle as a show of good faith to the Steiner brass. i.e. "ewww... no. you keep it".
Can't think of another feasible way he'd have the mech. If you think it's too feeble a reason, I'll ret-con his mech to something else.
@Nomad. I kind of expected Andrew to do something like that, so it's all good . Cees' thoughts on the matter will be up in a bit. Though I don't anticipate them to be pleasant

I can see the Uziel being a prototype, especially considering how many units decended on Coventry in '58 (it was 58 I hope.)
Quickcell garbage-gun prototype... Something tells me this isn't going to end well.
EDIT: Also was thinking about some of the post a few pages ago when we were talking about paintjobs... And I'd like to add, (I know it's a bit late) that we could be going into battle wearing Wolf's Dragoon colors. It just seems like something our benevolent (and WD loathing) GM would pull.
There's no way that a regular respectable merc unit would pull that stunt, the Clanners hate the Dragoons already, and it's something that Thom would go for especially consider how he's not too fond of the Dragoons as well.
EDIT part 2: I liked that post, Nomad. Your character has....issues. Question though, why a MadCat? I know it's a kickass mech, but it's not really a Jaguar (though it falls under Clan General ) mech. Just wondering why you didn't go for like a Cauldron-Born?

@Thom to smooth the flow a bit, I propose that we don't actually need to detail the conversation Cees and Thom would have, unless of course you'd intended something happen before or shortly after the next jump.
What do you say? Pretty sure we know how it's going to go anyway

I've got nothing planned. In fact I was toying with us jumping straight to Coventry, but was unsure as to how Mr. GM would feel about that. I'm just going with some good ole fashioned FIAT for the most part. You wanna PM a convo?

Would be fun, though I don't want to hold the posts up, might not be able to find the time over the next week.
If you're OK with Cees extracting from Thom the fact that there's a Mad Cat in the hold and that Andrew's involvement has something to do with the Rouges' plan for the op, and that he honestly doesn't know much more than that, I can have a summary post for Cees thoughts during the full unit briefing further down the track.
Also @Sparks and @Nomad. I see what you did there with the Uziel
