I'm sure I have missed quite a few of them (especially going back into 2012). If you feel a thread should be added to the list, please post below with a link to the thread.

On the frequency of matches decided by base capture...

Interesting stat -
19% of Assault wins come from Base Caps.
81% of Assault victories come from destroying the opposition.
1.2% of Assault matches end in 0 deaths [on both sides].

Assault Matches End with
0 - 10%
1 - 12%
2 - 10%
3 - 8%
4 - 9%
5 - 9%
6 -13%
7 - 26%
Deaths [on the winning team] before Win by Capture.

This can be extrapolated to:
1.9% end with 0 team deaths before winning by capture
4.2% end with <=1 team deaths before winning by capture
6.1% end with <= 2 team deaths before winning by capture
7.6% end with <= 3 team deaths before winning by capture
9.3% end with <= 4 team deaths before winning by capture
11% end with <= 5 team deaths before winning by capture
13.4% end with <= 6 team deaths before winning by capture
18.4% end with <= 7 team deaths before winning by capture
the remaining ~81% of matches victory is achieved through destroying mechs.

Note these extrapolated statistics only count deaths on the winning team. Overall deaths can not be deciphered from the provided data.
Also note, although this data is relatively recent (April 25th) it is unknown what period of time the data was collected from.

A Guide to CapWarrior Discussions(1): Atheus makes a snarky and biased compilation of capture-related threads, complete with slanted comments clearly intended to make anyone who doesn't want a TDM mode out to sound like whining, no-talent losers.

I added the first and third to the list. The second didn't seem to address capwarrior directly, but instead was just a proposal for a new game mode. Thanks for pointing those out, though.

lol... well, there's no obligation to be unbiased here, is there? Still, it seems you're exaggerating, again. I call them like I see them, but it's going a bit far to say I've portrayed capwarriors as you described — at least not in this thread  .

But but but, the mods say that duplicate threads have diminished greatly since the purge. This thread seems to suggest they were lying!

Lol. Nobody knew it was a troll really? 0/10

The idea was too stupid to be anything but a troll. Oh and it's spelled elegant.

On a more serious not threads about capping are back in force. And the huge maps are entirely to blame. The game mode does not scale well with the bigger maps. I rarely see people complaining about getting capped in river city or forest after all.

Quick, make all maps half the size of river city or the assaults will cry.

WHAAHHHH I HAVE TO WALK PLACES AND LIGHTS ABUSE MY ABILITY TO GO NOWHERE FAST

Assault pilots are hilarious.

2 things I`ve noticed over all the threads:

1. It started more or less at the beginning of Open Beta. Any thoughts I have on that would be undeserved blanket insults to a large portion of the commmunity

2. Nothing in the discussions has changed, AT ALL. Everybody still thinks that their form of fun is somehow more valuable than the other side`s fun, and nobody shows even rudimentary signs of thinking outside their own box when viewed as a whole. The capacity for self reflection those threads display on both sides of the issue makes one wonder if we are actually still qualified to call ourselves as a race "intelligent life"....

3. Theis forum is full of people who seem to think that the more often you say something, the truer it becomes, which is a major logical fallacy. Either that or they think that after 6 months of getting nowhere, complaining another 6 months will get the job done.

No, there actually were a few dozen more, but I`m not gonna be the one to look for them

That thread was just epic, quite possibly THE most constructive capwarrior thread of all time

I've been keeping a running tally, it's up to somewhere around 22 or 23 cap threads in this subforum alone (when mods move cap threads here it screwed up my total so it's one of the two), not including this one.

Odd. Wonder why there are so many threads? Curious that they started up in force after the two big maps got introduced. Must be because base cap is working sooo well on the big maps.

I blame river city and forest.

There were million of capping threads complaining about cap rushing in RC because if one team went lower and the other upper it became a rush to the base.

But don't let facts get in the way of a good QQ. Let it all out.

I haven't seen a cap on river city in roughly thirty drops. If you're honest(lol) I'll bet you see them almost never as well. So yeah clearly a huge percentage of the 19% cap wins is happening there amirite? Eh don't both responding you're pretty much a straight up troll anyway.

... And don`t even think of looking at who STARTED the threads, it might destroy your illusionary worldview of "everybody" hating the same things you do.
