Raven or Locust. I'm a horrible shot in the sims, but a pretty good pilot/scout. I like something that I can dance around with. Raven's good for electronics, sensors and the like.

I always liked to roll in the Phoenix Hawk, or Shadow Hawk. Speed Jump Jets & enough firepower to make a heavy sweat a little.

I would love to see the Nova Cat in the game, At around 75 or 80 tons it was still classed as a heavy Mech. I love laser platforms as you never had to worry about ammo only heat and it looks really cool as well.

The Nova Cat is a monster. 70 tonner that punches really hard.

Supernova, while an assault, was almost the queen mother holy mother pus bucket of laser boats for the clans. 6 large lasers. over kill anyone?? I'd sacrifice speed for a targeting computer that allowed pin point accuracy.

I used to play Light or Medium. Never owned a joystick, but my mad gamer claw hands let me put my keyboard to good use. I could kill an Atlas in a Flea in Mechwarrior 4, but those were the days before games had mouse support, lol.

What with all this modern tech helping people to aim, I'll probably need the heavier armor that a medium can bring to the fight....

I am a Heavy 'mech pilot by choice. marauders/warhammers/archers, all are good. For preference I'll pilot a Timberwolf but I am not holding out hope for Clan characters initially.

I don't discount Assault 'mechs though. they have thier place and there will be some missions where they will be perfect. Do you really want to take on an Atlas in a city, if it is in the hands of a Mechwarrior who can think?

First choices would be Assassin and Javelin.
