My catapult C1 has the same hardpoints as the as the base quickdraw. This thing looks to be a gimped (although faster) Orion.

Its not even an Orion wannabe, since it lacks ballistics. Really, it's just a 5 ton lighter Catapult, end of story.
As for the ECM debate... people here make me laugh. GO ahead and say HEY we could get a heavy with ECM now. Makes me laugh, the probabilty of a ECM heavy was BETTER with the Orion - why? Because so far we've recieved ECM on one of two types of 'mech - scouts and command. Gee, wasn't the Orion noted as an excellent command mech? Didn't some guy... I forget his name now... some really famous commander... yeah that one guy: didn't he love the Orion?
Huh! Guess the apologists are grasping at straws, eh? Not that it surprises me, either, I find it as amusing as ever.

Bryan Ekman claimed he was the only one working on it. Considering how much of a pile this game is thanks to leadership decisions from before the code started being written, and continuing to present, we weren't missing out by losing this development time.

And what percentage of the people that buy one will have any of that on their mind when they buy it, hmm?
Most of them will think "Oooh.. hero Jenner.. niice".
Most people are ignorant, mindless, thoughtless, and above all, self serving most of the time. Welcome to the world, life isn't fair, grow up.
For the ones who don't care who Sarah is or why she has a mech, but want a hero Jenner,
PGI is taking their money and giving it to cancer research.
But here's a twist. I don't own any hero mechs aside from my Founder's Hunchback. I generally refuse to buy Hero mechs on general principle, but, since it's for charity and the memory of a little mechwarrior that is no longer with us, I'm going to pick this one up.
Does this in your broken little mind make me a bad person because I didn't just breakout the checkbook and randomly donate all my cash to random charities...
I'm not Bill Gates, in fact, I'm barely scraping by, but if I can do a good thing by playing the game I love by spending a few dollars...this does not make me shallow or hollow or whatever other crap you've been saying, you're just wrong. period.

So, you're barely scraping by, you're not bill gates, but you're fully capable of buying a hero mech in MWO but not giving that same exact amount directly to the charity, in order to give money to charity?

Q Q Q Q Q they're developing 3rd person view!
If any of you had half a brain you would realize we already had 3rd person view in closed beta. If you don't, go watch a video from closed beta days. You will notice the camera shift to a 3rd person view when two mechs collide.
Additionally, that camera in closed beta could glitch "stuck" with the 3rd person view on.
WAKE UP and stop being so ignorant.

This was back in early APRIL! So I am looking in command chair posts and there is not a single post on CW since he made this statement. Not only are the features behind schedule, but they are 2 months behind even telling us about it. Ouch PGI. Just Ouch.

I agree, they are ignorant but not for the reasons you state. No, its been stated that 3rd person would be an option and that if you so chose to not fight against those wo used it, you would have that option. Of course days like today, announcements like this one, make that seem as concrete as pure water - still, that's one thing people SHOULD be aware of and keep in mind, but don't.

This whole creative update was full of broken "promises", how you think CW was the only one is beyond me. It's beta and things change, that's a given, but if they're going to change things they should do it in a way that doesn't p*** people off. Which is all these seem be to doing for the most part.
Oh, wait... they'll probably play the "Forum user feedback is worthless" card again. HAH, sure it is. Like all that feedback PGI recieved on how NOT to do the PvP module for Duke Nukem and ignored, which turned out to be accurate after they permanently f***ed that up. They're not doing that here at all, no, of course not, which is why we're so absolutely thrilled with today's news...
