Stone profit, always making things up to defend PGI. What technical issue could possibly have pushed back a mech implementation that far on a mech with no unique features?
That wasn't an actual question, you don't know anything about the processes involved so your answer would be useless.
My guess is the issue was with the hero variant. My guess is we get a Heavy Metal type deal where they sell the Hero for 2 weeks before the C bill version is available. Check out how much demand there is for the Orion, compared to the meh for the Quickdraw.

So much QQ'ing.
PGI, keep up the good work. Great to see the content updates last week (and the speedy hotfix), loving the firebrand and the missile HSR is great. Cant wait for 12 v 12 and UI.2.0!

I ordered a pizza the other day. The pizza man told me it would come to my house in about 30min. A week later the pizza man shows up with my pizza, after I call him many times asking where my pizza is. I'm supposed to be happy I got the pizza even if it's a week late because I'm not a pizza man?
And you got the wrong pizza.

I do my best to stand by the developers of the game that I try to love, there are issues just like any relationship. These issues can be solved with proper communication to and from the community and developers. Q&A's don't really cut it these days and the communities desire to whine about issues they don't like is also not okay. The road to success is paved with failure and hopefully we can all learn from our failure.
TL:DR___ Actually read, don't skim you lazy cat you.

Akin to the prior growth rates of the previous 3PV and ECM threads. ECM is now largely nerfed (Told you so), and oh look...We're talking about 3PV again.

This may be a breaker for some - hopefully they will stick to implementing it so that you have the option to drop in matches without 3rd person, with 3rd person or a mix, which i think is what the devs are intending?
If it was compulsory to have a 3rd person mix, this would make A LOT of the player base angry.
We will have to see

Same devs that said this also said we were getting Orions in June.
Food for thought.

Quite.
That said, delaying a mech is one thing - going back on their word over 3rd person is another, purely because of the divisive nature of the whole concept of implementing 3rd party. I am sure there are considerably more players out there that can overlook the delay of the Orion than how 3rd person is implemented.
Edit: Now that i think about it i do vaguely remember them saying it was NEVER going to be a feature in the game, i think i just joined the conversation with dessert!

TBH..I liked the change.. I am medium/heavy player..even if I didn't ..i wouldn't rage over it.. arguments here are pretty close to be pathetic (I already bought MC for it is one of my favorite one).. I believe people are just trying to find something..anything to blame PGI and whine like i.diots ..
Honestly.. I loved Orion in every MW game.. and never heard about Quickdraw before..but while I am not sure about art, fast runner heavy with JJ, focusing on energy and missiles...hell..why not.. Maybe Orion would be too similar to current roster of mechs... not sure..but I think it's okey..and also I love surprises..

thank you for disapointing us again, you have half of the biggest davion unit, HHOD, quite unhappy with this and im struggling to keep some of them from uninstalling, literaly.
I wonder what other top teams like Kaos and SJaguar will think or do.
And btw, if you listen to ppl that play an hour a day and then flood these forums with complaints, you are doing it wrong. Nevermind the teams that actually push hours a day into the game and bother to adjust after every patch. Im not relly sure PGI knows who to listen to or to ask for feedback from.
bad regards,

I don't understand..not even once I saw official announcement about orion being released in June.
or maybe there was..but I just didn't saw it..
still don't understand what is poor communication here.. and I think you are just proving my point anyway.

It wasn't. Same with Coolant Flushes.

Here's another surprise for you then: Quickdraws are just Catapults with 5 less tons. At least the Orion was in a weight slot that was empty and while similar to an Atlas in layout it is much faster and agile. With the weights between the Quickderp and the Catapult being so small it's going to play almost exactly the same.
EDIT

Devs don't owe you anything, especially reasons about dev decisions.
They don't have to listen to anything you say neither.
They can try and collect datas about anything too. Including "OP" weapons effectiveness or chassis imbalances.
And you don't have any right to whine about them changing schedules. It's their stuff, you haven't paid for it, and they don't have any morale obligation about anyone because of BT ancestral fanboyism or hoards invested in skins and bays or anything.
If you're unhappy, you can leave.
In fact, i even don't understand how they can be so zen about all this stupid hatred and verbal beating.
Oh, and, by the way, to keep in mind : You don't know **** about game design and it transpires in every sentence. Shut up.
*finger pointing offscreen*
So basically if someone is driving a car towards the ocean and they're told thats a bad idea.... that's ok... for them? I mean I get what you're saying but the fact is you are ignoring one half of the coin here.... since this IS beta as you say, why are they prolonging this if they refuse to listen to feedback? If they don't, and the product fails, they've driven the car into the ocean despite our best efforrts, and you're fine with that - encouraging them even...?
I mean, lets not forget this won't be the first time they've driven a product into salt water - DK:F PvP module had this exact pattern of this same developer torpedoing it into oblivion before launch. You want that with MW? No? Then maybe the feedback given isn't so evil perhaps as you claim...

GUNDAM!!!

Isnt that what everyone wanted??
Its not like we wanted an Orion or anything like that...
Its not like PGI had tons of time to tell us that the Orion would not be the next mech...
So yea anywho - can we atleast expect the ECM variant of this GUNDAM?
Pretty pretty please, with sprinkles on top.
