you know you want them too. You are just too afraid to admit you desire their bursting masculinity and godliness!

Or is this community got it's thong stuck up it's arse again over forum based conjecture never confirmed.
They gave a date a long time ago. Mech releases have been set in stone for a very long time. We get a hero mech and a new mech every month.
In june, we were supposed to get the orion. We instead get a heavy that obsoletes the dragon completely, isn't a popular mech at all, and carries the same exact firepower as other mechs, also that no one really likes or uses.
People are mad for a reason. Stop defending this.

I posted the link in a previous post ... but here it is again. They have updated it this morning, but before then, under June 18th it had Orion listed. If you look under June/July ETA you will still see: Orion (Confirmed June)
http://mwomercs.com/...updated-june-5/
Trust me ... We were not just making up June 18th as being the Orion release date. They had stated it.
Again, it's fine if they want to change things. It's just the poor communication and the "bait and switch" act that has angered most of us.
That isn't a PGI post its Syllogy's post. The assumption was that it was the Orion because the Orion had been announced, and they confirmed a heavy was being released.
Where is the post where PGI confirmed that the Orion was the heavy being released in June?

You are technically correct.
However, Bryan said in NGNG podcast #0068, at about 30:10 that they had to push back the Flea due to MASC not being ready, and the established order of light-medium-heavy-assault would be switched up, so that it became medium-heavy-assault-light after the Highlander.
The 'mechs we had seen announcements and concept art for at that point were the Blackjack, the Orion, and the Flea.
It's not a very long leap to think that the Orion was the heavy slated for June, especially since the Blackjack came out in May, the Victor was revealed. and we knew the Flea was slated for August.
There have been ample time to say that the Orion wasn't coming in June - especially seeing as they knew how anticipated it was.
And it was slated for June - notice that it has been "pushed back" to the next cycle, meaning it was supposed to be released earlier.
Then they decided the game needed another PPC poptarter and made the switch out of the blue, with no announcement of the QD, no concept art - and no explanation until today.
I don't have a hard time seeing why people are upset.

People are rightfully annoyed that a mech they were assumed was going to be released has been swapped out for a mech we didn't even know was on the line up. People like stability, and predictability. People have been expecting the Orion to come out for months. The mech release line up and the concept art all hinted that this was the next planned release given the delay of the flea. It wasn't.
4 new mechs should have been something to celebrate. Instead, PGI's incompetent handling of the matter has left fans perturbed.

They've also announced that 4 other unannounced mechs had been completed. HEY LOOK THERE'S ONE NOW!

Not true. I was very happy with this most recent patch. Look at my post history. I went from bitter over the meta, to puppies, rainbows and unicorns after the JJ patch and minor LRM buff, to downright insurgent once I saw this thread.
I was incredibly happy but they killed it with this asinine and unnecessary decision. Further this adds to the mountain of grievance over the fact that . . .

they have proven themselves to be inconsistent, uncommunicative, unreliable, and outright deceitful.
First Coolant Flush. They promised never to have a MW4-esque coolant flush but added it as a consumable and then backtracked and nerfed it after there was a massive uproar. Then 3PV. Someone, I can't remember who, has an excellent quotation in their sig where PGI promised no 3PV. Well, here it comes, rammed down our throats. Now the Orion debacle. PGI have no clue how to manage a community. They lead us on a merry dance, moving the goal-posts, allowing assumption and innuendo to thrive and even outright breaking promises like its nothing. It's frustrating as hell, it's amateurish and it's bad for business.
And as I have already said, PGI have infuriated a significant (and might I add paying) segment of the community for an absolutely paper thin reason. This is a company that is already rapidly exhausting the goodwill it garnered from a fanatical fanbase. The last thing they needed was to needlessly **** them off further.

I've little reguard for people that call themselves by the 'famous' fictional names
Natasha Kerensy, probably Isn't even a Woman, just some guy that used to **********, looking at the picture of her, in the wolfs Dragoons lance book
And yet you regarded me enough to quote me. Hmm.

/cheers!
Fun fact #42 I actually use this name because the Northrop P-61 Tactical Night Fighter (aka The Black Widow) is my favorite air craft. Not because of some stupid fictional character in a board game.
Fun Fact #43 I lied about Fun Fact# 42. I have Natasha Kerensky bed sheets.

Peoples inability to read is not my problem. In the often quoted Paul post about 3rd person the second ******* paragraph says 3rd will be investigated in the future.
Also, coolant modules are so far away from MW4-esque coolant flush you're only further proving that you don't live in reality but some sort of imagination land where PGI is always wrong.
You call it "promises" I call it delusion.

If they came and announced some unseen coming then we'd all love the little suprise.
if they came and announced that Orion won't be the only new mech this month, we'd also love it.
... but when the suprise is you're getting something worse and unwanted... well, it's not that kind of suprise that makes people happy and with the mentions of 3rd person on the way, it's hard to expect any other response, really.

If the emotional stress of playing a game in ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT (I won't say beta. Doh! Crap. Just did) is too much for your frayed nerves to handle...please...FOR THE LOVE OF BLAKE......go outside and get some air for a few minutes.
Or a few months.

I meant MW4 coolant flushes as in them existing at all. Don't be obtuse.
Further, I fail to see how "Being the pilot is one of our key design pillars and 3rd person breaks that pillar on multiple levels as seen in many of the other 3rd Person discussions." could be ambivalent in its meaning.
Unless of course you're shamelessly White-Knighting.

Also the most hilarious thing is that there was no where near this much blowback when it was the flea that was delayed.
The Flea was delayed because MASC doesn't exist in the game. The game literally could not handle it. That's a legitimate reason.
You're not very good at this.

They want to release Orion's Hero version before the c-bill versions, as with the Heavy Metal/Highlander.
Hero Orion = Kerensky's Orion.
Kerensky's Orion = snub-nosed PPC.
Need to develop snub-nosed PPC.
Worst possible reason for switch:
Quickdraw's variants, once tranferred into MWO format, will be cut down to two.
To elite and master a mech you need three variants.
Third variant will be Hero/Champion - i.e. MC-only.
Most likely reason:
Neither of the above.

Brian already said that he thinks the Quickdraw has more to offer in terms of the metagame. He's completely and utterly wrong, but that's what he really believes...(or just what he wants us to think

Also, the Snub-Nosed PPC isn't available until 3067...so that's out of the question.

What?!! You won't be playing this game 17 years from now?
Man...it will be lonely out there on the battlefield without the rest of you.

Holy ****, how do you people go to that specific post here.

Quote one sentence...AND COMPLETELY NEGLECT
We will investigate 3rd person in the far off distance for special game settings, but this is very far off in the distance.
THE VERY NEXT SENTENCE.
This is why I call you people delusional.
And it's not being obtuse when I call you on your ********.
