A: We plan to do at least one contest per quarter. Next up – Assaults.
Note: The Heavy mech build contest was in March IIRC.
But... there's no affirmation or confirmation... so I'm sure it's kinda like this:

A: It’s almost done and in final QA testing. No screenshots available. DX11 isn’t a huge graphical improvement out of the box. Most of the bells and whistles require us to invest time in adding new features to the engine.
Of course, this was said 3 months ago.

that's the thing, I think Bryan has been on vacations for almost a month now, judging by his and Russ' post about him being in Vegas.

I haven't noticed him taking a vacation in the past year. Could have a lot of time-off saved up.
The only frustrating thing to me is that the update that got skipped was right when the "J" months were back-to-back.
For the sake of my sanity, after 50+ pages of this, can we please stop bumping this thread?
Is there a way I can request a mod to lock it?

I mean...a short "sorry, no CDU this month due to ...." wouldn't kill them, would it? (I hope not) If you want your CDU - just move to Germany! It is the major political party here

If they start releasing more CDU's, people might get very upset when the game at launch looks EXACTLY LIKE IT DOES NOW. There's not going to be any community warfare beyond a reputation grind system. The game is just going to be more of the same: 1 game mode (sorry devs, Assault isn't a game mode, it's the absence of a game mode) and a new map released every few months in an attempt to lure people back to their latest sale, the sales having replaced the traditional notion of patches. The game should be renamed "Mechwarrior PvP Skirmish".
When September 17 rolls around, the big reveal for the launch is going to be the UI 2.0. A slick, shiny graphical overlay that may make some things a bit easier, but isn't anything more than a new coat of paint.
Look, I'm a big fan of Mechwarrior. Not quite so big as the people holding a first edition tabletop rulebook over their head and screaming "Bow before your LORD!", but I like the franchise. It's kept me coming back long past the point where I would have shelved any other game. But there is a question that should be asked, and game developers should not be allowed off the hook until they've answered satisfactiorily:
"What is there to DO in your game?"

Not even, as mentioned before, a heads up like "sorry, we won't do it this( ... or ever again) month.". I would think it nice that the company cares enough for its customers that they keep them informed about stuff.
I ask myself why, whats bad with communication nowadays. Seriously, it P.... me off to no end that companies today seem to think its better to sit one out than to give even the most basic information.
Whatever. not that anybody cares as it seems.
