Whenever a mech jumps up, the players aim should be dragged down, especially the arm reticules.
A whenever a mech falls, his aim should be dragged up. Reduce the cockpit shake, but don't remove it entirely because it makes absolute sense, but obey Newton's laws in regards to objects at rest and in motion.

The lack of jumpjets has another nasty side effect, at least for pug gaming... friendly fire seems to be way up. Since people can shoot over using jumpjets, when bunched up, I think people are just starting to shoot through instead.

If you are part of the vocal minority that suffers a physiological reaction to the solution (minority because motion sickness is not present in 50% + of a population), then... how about just not trying to pop-tart? Why on Earth would you even be exposing yourself to a fast-paced game where there a tonne of other things that might trigger this reaction? If you absolutely insist on risking your health, why not just play a different way?
Now, to be honest and open, I'm sympathetic to anyone with a medical condition - I have a physical ailment of my own. I have irreparably horrible joints from years of sports and weight-lifting - I can't play 'high APM' classes in MMORPGS as a result, nor will I ever be a fantastic StarCraft II player - I physically am not capable because of my past (and present) highly physically active life-style. To play such kinds of games/classes results in significant, unbearable swelling and pain in my hands. I don't complain that my handicap prevents me from playing certain classes or games, though; I accept my limitation and move on.
If pop-tarts don't work for you because of the change (and the change is intended to break the play-style), then one should do what everyone else is doing - learning to play the game it was meant to be played in the first place. The play-style was going to be broken, regardless, and there's no way the developers can build a game that triggers no one's health reactions of any of a myriad of kinds (how about those with seizures from bright flashes? Or the colour blind? Should we make the game monotone, then?).
Even if someone is 100% genuine about an affliction, not being able to pop-tart doesn't stop one from playing the game any more than my hands/joints problem stops me from playing MMORPGS; one just has to play a different way.

If you don't think a number of posters on here are not simply poprtard defenders, I would respectfully submit that you are being naive.
For them though, the newly added reticule shake should already be enough to make poptarting effectively useless, at least at range. This is all that was needed.
Frankly I think close range pop tarting ( point blank accuracy, like at the ridgeline on frozen city ) SHOULD be part of the game.

So tell me, what's it like being a pro gamer, concentrating intently on the screen, making quick reactions and snap maneuvers yet suffering from so called motion sickness?

You spend a lot of time not making any sense.
I was going to retort a few of your posts, but then on reading and re-reading them well, I couldn't find a coherent argument to even counter.

Because we don't get motion sickness / headaches in older MW games and we didn't get them in MWO prior to the last patch perhaps? Just a thought...

Explaining it, once a #$@#$#$ing again, to try to explain it to you is pointless. Read back through the thread, read the threads that were locked. I've linked to scientific explanations, as well as threads of people discussing the same problem from graphical effects in other games ( Dead Island and Space Marine ). Fortunately though, I dont give a flying #@$@ what you think at the end of the day, I just hope PGI realize that there is a real problem here at the end of the day.
They can easily enough look at the mechs used by the people complaining about the problem, like what I posted earlier. If it shows that the user is complaining about motion sickness as a result, but isnt using poptarting mechs, they can easily see that they do have an actual problem.

That is actually part of the problem and solution.
Higher fidelity graphics can actually make the problem better. As a game more accurately simulates real life, its less likely to cause the effect in a person playing. This is why many people would harf playing doom 1, but could play doom 3... other than the fact its a terrible game.
On the other hand, the closer you get to modelling reality, the more the mind is going to reject flaws it encounters. Its sorta like how many people found The Hobbit in 48fps off-putting.

Seriously, Nothings wrong with this. L2adapt or just go play cod.
PGI, from the start you said you were gunna try to make everything make sense and still go for a classic BT style.
From the bottom of my heart - thank you for doing good work.

I don't poptart.
The jumpjet shake makes me motion sick. I'm not sure exactly how, but it feels different from the shake from missiles or ballistic hits. If it doesn't affect you, that's great. It affects me, and as such I am inclined to believe that the people complaining about it are experiencing the same thing.
I do not enjoy being called a liar, and I don't think most people do.

I spent 60-80mill cbills mastering my jumpjet mechs and now I cant use JJ's because after 1 match I literally feel like throwing up
Get rid of it
i feel your pain i fly a 150kph Jenner and i get so sick when i jump in thos its gonn drive me away from this game eventually. PGI seriously needs a test server to test updates befor they push them live an get the community impression first instead of push and tweak and tweak again.

Awww.. explain what scientific proof please? Just because you played or linked posts to other games dosent mean ANYTHING at all.. Oh wait.. why am i feeding trolls? Grrrr...
How the hell am I trolling... im the one giving feedback in the patch feedback forum. You are amongst the people calling me, and people like me reporting the same problem, liars.
Perhaps as a small act of education, you will read this study for example. I can cite similar studies if you really wish. Here for example, is Valve ( perhaps you've heard of them? ) discussing how FoV (Field of View) can cause motion sickness.
Space Marine is another game that caused this problem with me. As you can see, I was by no means alone:

http://forums.steamp...d.php?t=2129678

http://forums.steamp...d.php?t=2102369
http://forums.steamp...d.php?t=2103386
With Space Marine it was a combination of FoV, Motion blur and the angle of the camera ( over the shoulder, offset ) that caused the problem. Coincidentally on a TV from 6 feet away, I never experienced the problem.
There are other examples I can cite. I know thousands of people posts about graphic blur in Dead Island caused them to get sick, among other games.
Video games very much can cause motion sickness in people not otherwise susceptible for it.

To the people arguing that players experiencing motion sickness should not use jumpjets,.. C'mon now. Games have to take these kind of things into account. For example colour blindness (which btw mwo did not take fully into account at some point).
