Lol that's the point, its called 'quickdraw'.....
I get that, but it's an unusual level of silly, I think. You can call the mech cowboy or quickdraw or jolly jumper, but it's still a mech, the pilot will not make a casual stroll through town and be bothered by two gangster mechs, shoot them on the spot and tell a cowering raven to report this to the boss.
I didn't notice this level of sillines in the Battlemech Announcement news before.
I suppose if the dialogue wasn't there, it could have kinda worked as a believable mech scenario, that, if you think about it, played out like a classic western scenario.
But in the end, it doesn't really matter, it's just a meaningless observation on an irrelevant text. More important wil be the usefulness of the Quickdraw in play. I am skeptical, due to the Dragon's performance so far.
It could actually be the Quickdraw beats the Dragon, however, simply because it should have the same engines available to it, but also add jump jets, and its weapon hard points might be more favorable (at least going by the stock loadout of the QKD-4).
I suppose there is one useful information in the text - it implies that the Quickdraw can carry 6 Medium Pulse Laser in one variant, which would make a pretty neat laser boat.
