This looks like quite a good deal, and I can't help but be a bit twerked that it's such a better deal than the Founder's pack. I feel like there should be some sort of discount (or some freebie nod) on Project Phoenix for Founders, who spent more for much less, at (arguably) greater risk. That said, I will probably still support this.

I'm a founder and I don't agree. Founders pack were clearly stated what they were. Not forever mothers milk bottles.

so tired of founders' complaining... you bought something before there was any real product, thanks for helping develop the game, much abliged, now **** with your whining and complaining, you dont get any more for your founders cash, this is not a 'new' founders pack, it is something called the phoenix project and unless I am mistaken, there will be nothing on my account or profile that will label me 'founder'

stop whining, we are paying less for this than founders packs because we no longer have to fund a game from ground zero, there is a playable version going right now.

For those who assumed that PGI and IGP would not use their money for the dev of ALL of their titles is just ignorant of the way business is done, your money pays the company, it has much less to do with which game it was purchased through, you help them develop all of their titles, whether you like it or not...

Can't always get what I want? Agreed. Same goes to PGI, they want my money and they wont be getting it as long as the Locust is holding the other mechs hostage.

As for the fellow players who hate on people trying to get a better deal, shame on you! As consumers we have the right to petition and request all we want and you should be supporting, or at most ignoring, those who try to make things better not talking down to them.

Me want. I don't care about anything other than the fact it has classic TT mechs ( Locust, ShadowHawk, Thunderbolt, Battlemaster ) that right there got my interest seriously peaked. Now to convince the wife. She was a never a gamer and I turned her into one with Peggle then Plants vs Zombies ( She is crazy good at that ) Now she is waiting on Plants vs Zombies 2 in July which will be a form of pay to play. Mwaaa haa haa...I have my in! :(

There is a freebie, tho it's pretty weak:

Q: What type of added benefit will existing Founders receive upon purchase of any Project Phoenix package?
A: Great news for Founders, as a purchase of any of these packs will reward Founders with a unique and exclusive hanging cockpit item displaying their specific Founder's tier in the item's design.

This whole affair is simply disgusting beyond belief.

First they get the whole thing going with the help of the founders and now they screw the whole thing over.

Over the past months progress has been a total joke. PGI has done shoot-nuthin to make this game significantly better and the addition of new content to spice things up has been a sad trickle. But don't worry, if you are a founder you can become a founder again now. And if you are no founder yet, you get a second chance. In exchange you get... Well, not much really. Sure, some math wizards will try to convince you otherwise. Wow. Mechbays worth X and Hero Mechs worth Y, plus more mechs worths Z and premium time worth... Oh, wait. There is an error in that calculation. It uses the word "worth". See, a Hero Mech is NOT actually worth what PGI charges for it. In fact the current prizing of the in-game items is simply vulgar and completely perverted and on top of that things are increasingly including pay2win items, like superior coolant shots and more.

This game is not free2play. It is increasingly divided into two groups of players. Those who pay absurd amounts of money and those who provide the cannon fodder for them. Sure, for some of us these sums do not cut a hole into our wallets. That is not the point in evaluating prizing, though. If a tomato would cost 25$ we could all still afford to eat one every once in a while. But we would not be making any tomato salad, unless we were rich. This is what the gaming industry is doing more and more these days, blowing up the cost of one game so that it costs as much as 2-3 full price titles used to cost, while at the same time not delivering a corresponding increase in quality and content.

On top of all that, all this is for a game that simply seizes to exist the very second that PGI goes belly up.

I expected PGI to do exactly this when they add the Clans and I still do, but I was surprised that they did it just now. Eventually, there will be three money grabs and each one will become more and more absurd. The pricing in this game is already way off and so far they have done nothing at all to adjust that. Not even once. And they don't need to, because enough sheople roll with it.
"Shut up and take my money" has to be the most mindless, most self-debasing statement that could ever come from a consumer's mouth.

I don't know if I will buy this. Right now I think I won't, but if I did, I already know that I will not be happy about it. There is a sense of disgust and abomination that will not wash away.

It is a truly impresive feat for you to force so much nonsense into one post. :(

Have any of the detractors thought for a second maybe they are doing this for launch? You know that thing they said would happen at the end of summer...

a/k/a the end of September just a couple weeks before the package goes live...

This is a kick in the teeth to us Founders, we thought we were "special" to PGI, by helping them develop the game.

Now this, cheers PGI for nothing, you lost my vote.

This feels like a cheap marketing scheme to keep players in the game,

How is this a kick in the teeth to Founders? I certainly don't feel kicked in the teeth. My Founder's 'Mechs still provide the same benefit as before, I've got my premium time from Founders, and my MC.. in fact.. I got everything I paid for with Founders... so, how does a new package, with different benefits, at different price points... kick me in the teeth?

Actually it is, look at the Overlord deal for example,
you get 3x Locust(20 Ton Light Mech) where one of them got 30% C-Bill bonus,
you get 3x Shadow Hawk(55 Ton Medium Mech) where one of them got 30% C-Bill bonus,
you get 3x Thunderbolt(65 Ton Heavy Mech) where one of them got 30% C-Bill bonus,
you get 3x Battlemaster (85 Ton Assault Mech) where one of them got 30% C-Bill bonus,
12x Mechbay slot for your new Mechs
and you get 120 days Premium time ...

Sure, 4 Foundermechs 3 months Premium time and 20k MC were also nice but this one is even more awesome
...

€dit: Fixed the MC + you get freaking reseen Mechs!

maybe in overall value...but the flexibility on what i spend the mc on is epic...i dont buy standard mechs using MC...i just buy mech slots and hero mechs on sale...and i still have like 8k mc left...
i guess its more of a matter of opinion...great breakdown btw :(

Why i should buy this crap? Piggy isnt able to fix all the bugs in the game, isn`t able to create new maps and i never heard again of all the features that piggy would implement in the past.

I think, its better to wait and see which progress MWo will do (or not do) in the future.
And i am sure that this wouldt not be the last "special" offer...

Well, buying within a month will give you the free 30days premium time, but the sale will continue for more than just a month. The FAQ says they haven't chosen a set date to end the sale because they want as many people as possible to have a chance to get it.

Put a £10 pounds aside each week however I do believe deal is open from 25th June to 25 July

For crying out loud PGI. I hate your disability to balance this game properly and promptly and your ineffectiveness at banning/investigating the tiny handful of cheaters out there, one of which I have reported before yet continues to win tournaments...

However you have the most amazing design team. Where's my debit card? Going overlord on this.

Oh and if you can do these redesigns/reseens, yes Marauder. Run some designs past us if you're a bit worried you can't pull it off.

Wow really? Cry more guys. Seriously. If you don't want it, don't buy it. That's how prices are dictated. Go to Amazon, browse prices, complain there. You will be occupied for days. Quit spreading your cancerous negativity.

If all the content will be released on October 15th, including the loyalty point-getting mechs, does that mean that community warfare will begin then as well?
