It says my account is not authorized to play on the test servers. Is there some magical steps I need to take or are just special people allowed to play?

As someone pointed in page 2 (or thereabouts), the launch will need to have a PTS and that also needs to be tested. I really don't see what the fuss is about.

You have to wait until the aloted time for testing.


12 vs. 12 Thursday 11th July 10am - 12pm and 4pm - 6pm


12 vs. 12 Thursday 18th July 10am - 12pm and 4pm - 6pm


12 vs. 12 Thursday 25th July 10am - 12pm and 4pm - 6pm

For those of us who are mouthbreathers, tell me how many hours until the 12 vs 12 starts. Is it 6 hours?

This is a good idea with still a few drawbacks.

The limited time of a few hours seems like you are not really giving 12 v 12 a fair chance at being fully tested, at the least on the chosen days it wouldn't hurt to run the test for 24 hours.

This at least gives a far longer chance at finding any said issues that might crop up or is this similar to the time given to test things in the past by your QA team? hence the issues that seem to crop up at almost every balance change you do?

Is there any plans to do this NOT on a Thursday? Some people (yeah, me) have a schedule that doesn't work for Thursdays, ever. Surely, if this were going to be multiple weeks, you would do different days. What if you put the servers into full service and Thursday is the ONLY day it works because other days weren't tested?? Hmmmm?

Anyone else getting a whiff of irony here?

Seriously people, be happy that we're now getting the means to help PGI roll stuff out without issue. You'd think that, considering how emotional people seem to be about this game according to their voraciously instigative posts, that they'd be happy PGI is giving us, the players, the chance to make sure it's all running like clockwork.

PGI has only stated an opening line-up of tests. Please don't assume those will be the only tests. You may want to track the topic that states the test times. New ones could be announced at any time of their discretion. Until new tests are more compatible with your schedule, look around and get your team together, or with another team. That way you are ready to roll when they happen.

Woo! I can't wait to try this out. And to the people saying "fix the balance first", this is the way the game is intended to be played. They have to see how the balance works with the intended number of players and adjust it for that. Balancing for 8 player teams could mean balancing things wrong for when 12v2 is the norm.

I can say, I'm not able to take a day off work to test MWO sadly.

Please consider a Friday afternoon timeslot, as that coverts to Saturday here in AU. Which means we can make the 9am to 11am one.

Otherwise, some of the people who will be most affected by 12v12 lag won't be able to test, and the first you will know about your game breaking is when you launch it on live servers and wonder why everything crashed and burned.



This is a really good point. A Friday morning time slot should be considered for the Asia-Pac folks.

yeah..i have a busy afternoon..i was hoping for the 4pm which would normally be 1am so i could play for an hour, hour and a half but its EEST (eastern european summer time) so its an hour later...but then again i can stay up all night, or better yet forget about all things i have to do today, unexpected illness or something ;)
