I find it amusing that you think everyone in DHB hold the same opinions about anything, much less what anybody should or should not be happy about. :(

Yeah, no ****! ;)

And DHB is one of the few units with enough pilot distribution to gather 12 ppl for the live test. Lots of smaller units out there excited about it, but not able to muster its best in the weirdly small amount of time available to actually do it.

Getting a "version mismatch" error when logging into 2nd session, Maybe they've updated client, but didn't tell patcher? tried restarting client- no go, don't want to re-download, It'll take too long

Reinstalling, gunna take a 1.5 hrs to download. bug ger, no 12v12 for me.

Having played both sessions now I have to say it's enforced my earlier opinion. The small maps are not suitable at all for 12 vs 12. There's just too little space for that many players and too little cover on most of these maps, especially against lrms. Forest colony, River city, Frozen city are not suited for 12 vs 12. Alpine, Caustic, Tourmaline and Canyons work well.

12v 12 might get better once the game is further balanced, however I think that 8 v8 games are currently more fun. there was a slight bit of diversity ie there were lurm boats along with ppc boats rather than just ppc boats in most games, with one game having a good mix up of other weapons, the games go on for a bit longer but most maps it just seems to turn into a worst fluster cuck that what we have already with less chance of flanking ect as the spread of the blob allows for more area coverage

Its certainly tight, but not unplayable by any means.

This build was created off the code base before changes to heat scale were added. So no, it is not in place.

The AC-2 is not taking a heat scale penalty even WITH the system in place so there's no difference in how many AC-2s you fire.

It's not PLANNED to be in. The AC/2 isn't PLANNED to take a heat scale penalty. But you've had other coding snafu's with weapons coded incorrectly, or incorrectly included in things... Consider all the Artemis bugs. Testing, objective numbers, is the only way to quiet these conspiracy theorists... or prove them right.

Extremely Displeased!

Downloaded the nearly 3 gig test server overnight to the 11th, Get ready to test play just before it goes live for the first part, low and behold a nice gig+ patch that takes the glorious 2 hours to download (Thank you PGI! Not everyone has a 30MB download speed) Miss the first part of the test.

The second part of the play test arrives, Fire up the test server (Oooops Crash, patch 100% complete 'Please wait' Try to get on the next 2 hours. Nothing.

Currently uninstalled completely and re-downloading the 3 Gigs again from scratch. No way to test it before next weeks 2 other play test times that will most likely end up failing again at the last second with no way to get it fixed.

Thank you PGI for a very disappointing day.

Umm... how about you try to download the client BEFORE the servers go online... thats why the devs anounced it over a day beforehand and also provided a link beforehand.

I downloaded the client overnight and the patcher was ready adn updated before I went to work in the morning... In the evening, when the servers were live, I could log in and play without a problem (apart from the already mentioned crash to mechlab issue of which the devs were made aware of... which only happened once).

There was no gig+ patch either, your downloader must have stopped half way through updating... or you only downloaded the client and completely forgot to press Patch.

I guess thats a "Thank you Strongpaw for a good laugh".

12v12 was great, ran well and quite a bit of fun. People need to learn not to blob on the small maps, they just kept getting in each other's way (Use the whole map people!). Can't wait for it to get on the live server.
