We need UrbanMechs. Also they need to waddle around like the cute ones from MechCommander 2.

Do this, it will be awesome, and you know it.

Bring on the Urbies. Put a grass skirt and coconut bra on it and make it bobble.

The Urbies are a must. Now I have another reason to join House Liao.

Best. Mech. Ever.
Of course it needs to be in the game.

Absolutely. It's a core mech in Capellan space and matches the proposed urban environment well. They need to be used tactically in order to succeed - sitting at crossroads, denying the enemy particular routes through the city. They need to move carefully as they're too slow to recover if they make a mistake and overcommit. The more tactical nature of MWO would lend itself to this.

I've been an urbie pilot since they were released and would love to continue that. I'm not supporting them because they're "funny" - it's because they fill a valuable role in an urban-combat force.

Our MercCorp (Currently standing unnamed at Company Strength of exactly 16 members) would like to sign wholesale for Urbies. For cityfighting, we can think of few mechs better kitted out for it as a basic design.
Though before anyone complains, I said few :P

As it stands, our names are as follows:
RogueSpear
Szadowsz
Kagemaru
Swizzlestix
M-Man
Jayzal
Cerwym
Maajkol
Lazarus
Paarthunax
Korlus
DarthSpade
PhaseIn
DarkShr0ud
Enetherion
Vesty

That enough signatures for you?

3 things you never want to see too late in city fighting,
#1 any mech packing ac20
#2 any mech packing ac/10 and jump
#3 any mech packing ac10 or 20 with jump and just landed behind you

keep your atlas and hbk, gimme urbie and victor and we will own any city map.

oh and do not forget one other thing, not all urbies are short ranged UR60M, rarely seen, but ppc and 2xlrm5 on a 500bv frame.

semi mobile battle bunker ftw!

Yeah, jump capable brawlers are the king of urban combat, although nothing quite matches up to the horrors you can inflict with iJJs on assault 'Mechs in a city. A Victor landing behind you is painful, but when you run into a Dire Wolf bouncing around a city like a medium while packing an Ultra 20 and a pile of SSRMs you know you are in trouble.

Indeed. One of my favorite custom Urbie variants swaps the AC 10 for a LGR so it is always in range.

I remember actually using the Urbie in mektek's mechpak 3. Yes, I actually WON several matches with it. I actually had some people congratulate me. It was hard, what with ALL the assault mechs all over the place, but I managed it with my AC-10 (sometimes AC-20, sometimes rotary AC-10) with pulse lasers (sometimes just a small laser). I had to dome some major management with armor to get the AC-20 to fit just right on that damn thing, but I did it. I also had a PPC variant Urbanmech IIC. That was also very fun.

Man that was a fun mech. I really had to use the buildings to my advantage. My jump jets (on the custom variant that had them, my other variant did not) also helped out. I could sneak up on the roof tops and blast rounds into their cockpits.

I really hope we see Urbies in MWO. It would be a shame if they weren't in.

Thanks to Orzorn's post, I actually went out in the campaign of MW4 (Redownloaded Mektek's Mekpak3 version) and decided to see how far I could get using 8 Urbies. The AI has a bad tendency to get themselves blown to bits trying to go toe to toe with Atlas' and similar, but I managed to win a Solaris Championship match on veteran difficulty using an Urbie with a Long Tom.
Turns out Long Toms are not good for kill shots. I killed the last mech(A crippled Daishi) by running into it and ejecting when I finally ran out of ammo. Still placed me as first since it was an intentional selfdestruct.
R2-DStroy shall return another day...

Had so sooo many great moments in an UM-R60. Leaving it out of MWO would just steal more than one nostalgic memory from any one of us.

I mean...

Knock knock - Who's there? - *BKAMM* - AC to the face - *Urbie slowly walking into sunset*

Gotta say, whether good or bad feelings about it, the Urbanmech is an iconic battlemech of this universe. I would hate to see it get left by the wayside. If this is the place to vote it in, my vote is cast!

I'll sign! Urbans are small fast and are really good at hiding in smaller building to pop out and ambush things.
