Am I the only person that thinks Urbies look bad ***? And if by god chance they stay REALLY true to BT, it will beable to flip that 10AC back and blast anysilly light going for his back.

I only want an Urbanmech if I can get a slate grey skin for it and a plush Oscar the Grouch riding on top. Then I'd HAVE to pilot one lol

... what about a grey-and-blue skin, armed with a short-range electric arc gun and a cutting wheel?

I think that if the game does have a slow enough progression/promotion/advancement rate, then we will be seeing many light/medium mechs, and probably be using them too!! If the devs are trying to increase the use of smaller mechs, then there are few light (or even medium) mechs that can withstand an encounter with an urbanmech in an urban environment.

MW:O definitely needs the urbie. I'll buy three ASAP!!

P.S.
A trashcan that shoots... Just hearing that reminds me of the Daleks from Doctor Who... LOVE IT!!! Wait... gosh, how nerdy am I??

I honestly don't see why it wouldn't be included; it fits canon and is a mech that has a strong fan base and a good combat role.

It's like a cheap Assault mech...without the Assault...Still it's got more character than most mechs, it's just a fun unit. Plus it's Iconic.

I don't think I signed this yet.

So /sign. Also, who says all lights need to work the same way? There are plenty of different combat roles, and a Jenner will work differently than a Raven which will perform duties radically different than an Urbanmech.

Yeah, I figure it's pretty much guaranteed with or without the petition.

But there is nothing wrong with showing the urbie some love. :)

The inclusion of the urbanmech will be the metric by which this game's adherence to the spirit of the mechwarrior universe will be judged. Devs, you have been warned. And they are just so darn cute!

Are you sure you're talking about the same mech we do? :)

I had the same reaction. Fast urbies? Not in my battletech!

Wow, I never made that connection. I think Google needs to be sued for copyright infringement.

Me and my friends were just talking about this game (and joking about buying Clan ER PPCs from the item mall with our credit cards) and we were certainly expecting to see Urbanmechs in the game. It'd be a shame if they didn't make it and would be great on defense missions (well charging in with an Urban wouldn't really be effective).

It's not like it's hard to model in 3D, right? ;)

Just trying to make one in google sketchup.

google sketchup isnt very circle, sphere...friendly.
As you may have noticed, urbanmech has a lot of circles.

If you know how to make models (they are making models in 3ds max right?) It cant be hard, just it will take some time.

Urban Mech once got really drunk and slept with Gumby... the result was JagerMech.
