Yep.
The only thing is, if it's gonna be a real economy, the prices will fly sky high ;)

I fully support the Urbanmech for a game that makes you purchase Mechs, and especially for a game that enforces some kind of limitation on the "resource quantity" your Lance can field in a given engagement. It just makes sense.

However, I really, really super-support the Urbanmech for a game that's designed to be fun. That makes more sense than any other reason. If you like the Urbanmech, then you'll have fun piloting one; if you hate the Urbanmech, then you'll have fun shooting them. Everybody wins.

I remember in BT:3025 I "upgraded" to an Urbie mounting the small laser and the AC:20. Defended a planet by my lonesome against 2 Commandos. First mech to enter range got his leg blown off before he could squeeze the trigger, second had his left torso blown apart followed quickly by his center... they were impressed by my trashcan of doom... plus as mentioned, it was freacan cheap lol

I didn't count the incidents I rendered those little beasts useless by aiming for the gun steering the BJ-1. Due to the well-known ammo-bug you lost all your ammo being hit there. You can call that exploiting, but everyone does that days, so it was mere a feature. ;) I also didn't count the incidents I lost my Hunchies ammo myself being hit at the gun. Which was a pretty easy target :)
Without his killa-gun the Urbie was more a doomed trashcan than a trashcan of doom. :D

Yeah, but the Anni has FOUR of them.

One Annihilator: 9,732,667 C-bills

Six Trashcans of Doom: 8,831,550 C-bills

The look on the Annhilator Pilot's face as he is curbstomped by a lance-an-a-half of R2D2's with boomsticks: Priceless ;)

The devs seem to be doing slight redesigns of the mechs. There's no reason it has to stay a walking trashcan. It could be upgraded to a walking recycle bin, a stylish garbage receptacle, a resolute dumpster, a noble and free wastepaper basket. Its kingly profile striding forward towards victory!

Or a paper shredder. VROOOOOOMMM!!

I'm in,

someone said it's like the AK of battletech, I think it's more akin to the T-34

I don't mind urbanmechs, as long as I can customize the hell out of them.

Not a big fan of the Urbie in MekPak 3.1, but I have to say it's adorable as a design, and I'm all for special-purpose designs as opposed to 10 humanoid medium/light mechs.

Since the dev blog asks to post in this petition then I will!

Also, I don't just want urbanmechs in game, I'd really like a gun that fires urbanmechs at other mechs. You can think of it as a trashcan with legs if you want, but it looks pretty aerodynamic to me.

You guys didn't read the dev Q&A? The UrbanMech is not only in, its the Liao starter 'Mech!

Gentlemen, you will see this coming your way and you will respect it. The Urbanmech is Humility on two legs. Both for the pilot, and those he humbles. Put it in.

Sure we know; but who in **** wants to drive a Mech looking like a trashcan?
;)

To every 'Mech, a purpose under Heaven.

I respond to this, the Urbie should have some sort of taunt mechanic. And only the Urbie gets it, because, hey, you just got killed by a trash can.

I am signing for UrbanMechs! Come on, let's show the Bonilla's that the fans do love the Trashcan of DOOM! CGL already knows!
(Which is why they gave us a one with a snubbie and 2/3/3, and one with an Arrow IV! Because Urbies, like bowties and Fezzes, are
cool!)

If the Urbanmech isn't in MWO, then it'll be no better than Mechassault.

THERE I SAID IT! ;)

Or maybe a game mod - arena type - Garbage Wars - only for Urbie , Flashman and Imp ;)
