"the other side" was more referring to the guys who defend PGI to the death and try to say that the game is completely fine.

Gotcha.

Well said, however I think conversation would be a better term. Colloquially the term argument infers negativity and conflict. If you're asking PGI to "please come join our argument" , it probably wouldn't go over well.

Think of it in the sense of "Gentlemen, please present your arguments."

Has there been ANY reply at all other than the mods/community manager saying they know about it (as it seems they can be discounted)?

Or K-towning the last thread? Nope.

I saw that actually. Wasnt impressed
Yup, it sent a message loud and clear, didn't it. There are real changes that have to be made to save this game's public image.

Just a follow up from my previous posts, The Fallen proudly presents the Mecha Lingua forum.

First, you must register with us here

After you have done so, you can go here to add your contributions for future Mecha Lingua live discussions. Feel free to create or comment on any threads posted, but please do keep it civil and on topic. If you wish to cross post something from the MWO forums, or other sources, please do, but make sure you have permission from the original poster and please provide a link to the original source.

This system should be set up so that any registered user can post on the thread, if we are still having complications, I can set up a tag system that should remedy that problem, but I don't think it will be necessary.

Unfortunately no. In other news, Russ Bullock said he's going to give a statement about the third person nonsense. He was asked to reply to this set of quotes and said he would on Tuesday.

Also, in regards to the fact that the heat scale changes have accomplished nothing to change the dominant long-range high-alpha metagame, Russ managed to cling to the bizarre notion that 6PPC Stalkers were the number one threat to the game (completely ignoring the Gauss/PPC combos savvy players often mount on jump-capable heavies or Highlanders), tweeting:

I would have never guessed the 6 PPC stalker was so much of a threat. I always saw it as a one trick pony, the 4 PPC/PPC+Guass builds put far more fear into me because they could actually sustain a reasonable DPS and Pinpoint. Those 6 PPC stalkers just seemed like a joke, but I guess I was wrong.

Yeah, a 6 PPC stalker needed an XL, and we all know how terrible XL engined stalkers are. I think you could get two alphas off before you sat staring at the ground for twenty seconds. No one with any sense used them as anything other than a joke.

Edit: On the subject of the other thread being moved to K-Town - it was generating loads of reports every day and it wasn't sustainable for the moderators. It was also for organising the first townhall event, which has now happened, and they left it up until the event was done. I really wouldn't read anything into the thread getting dumped as they've left this one here without issue.

I find it interesting that PGI may not (doesn't?) see the gauss/ppc combo as a problem.

The thing is, in my opinion, if it were balanced with viable alternatives, it wouldn't really be a problem ... it would be one of several options for competitive teams to choose from.

I wonder if there is something coming in the next few weeks that will significantly impact the organized team meta ...

Heyho,

i bring in another Point i think its the right thread for that.

So, we got Package Losses, Hit Detection Failures, Freezing Games, missing Game Modes, missing Content, etc pepe..
Right?

Ok then i really have to aks.. Why the hell do they think 3rd Person View is more Important than ANY of that points i listed above?

Wasting Manpower AND time AND Money for a stupoid Arcade Kiddie Feature.... I dont get it, seriously i don´t see the Point why they do so, i don´t.

I'd be surprised if their people handling network engineering are the same ones working on the third person camera. And I would also imagine that there's functionality in the cryengine for third person that needs tinkering with to get the third person view rather than something like a new game mode that would probably need coding from the ground up.

Yeah I was reading that when trying to search for the "You must be on an island" tweet. Pretty sad, but explains why they think it actually did something.

Oh okay, so the Money for 3rd Person integrating is spent good... seriously do people like you won´t see obvious wrong decisions???

There is so much other stuff to do but hey you get 3rd Person view, all fine then hah?

And i have to say.. i don´t bash them just for fun i bash em because i care about the Game, it is Fun it looks good but actually they just make ****** decisions and the Game doesnt work in his Basics as it should!
And 3rd Person View is definately not needed now or in September, maybe as a Christmas Present ... when they fix those other Issues till then.

Oh wait i remember they said something like: "There will be no 3rd Person view in our Game".... one Lie in a dozen....

I just Flame u say now? Do some research, i just telling the truth, thats the bitter Pill.

Now I'm convinced more then ever that PGI really needs our input.
