Really? How did you rotate your camera? I was trying to rotate the camera but my 3PV seemed tied to my torso movement.

You turn your mech around.

See this post on the testing forum for why it's a bad thing - look at the massive spotting advantage a mech has from behind a hill/radar tower. (And if you set the FOV to 120 degrees, it's even worse!)

http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__2613995

It's a HUGE advantage - it'll kill team games in one fell swoop.

Feature tested and found to be pointless and unwelcome. Please now end the test and drop the feature and stop wasting everyone's time.

Thanks.

Its not about specific case scenario. Its about what 3PV do for the game.

3PV nullifies
SITUATION AWARENESS
NAVIGATION SKILLS
SCOUTING COMPLEXITY
TEAMWORK COMPLEXITY

all that because you can see everything in a way you are not supposed to.

...so again

Making the game easier
for the people who can't improve their game
will not make MWO a more popular game.

RIP 3PV

And just as easy I can say:

3PV creates
additional SITUATION AWARENESS
requires different NAVIGATION SKILLS
adds to SCOUTING
adds to TEAMWORK

Again, think of it as a tool as opposed to a game breaking feature.

LOL .. Now that's funny.

I'm far from that. I'm playing more of a Devil's Advocate.

I have to say again, I DO NOT CARE ABOUT 3RD PERSON VIEW. I just don't think it's such a HUGE advantage that some people say it is.

Just check the poll here.

P.S.: If you HATE this feature, then I suggest you put it in feedback. AFTER you have tested it of course.

A exterior view always allows for peeking,no matter the FoV. This proves it, just look at all the cockpit/3PV screenshot comparisons...in a city you can just spot a guy around the corner with ease with zero risk. That's all I need to see.

Can't wait for it to be pushed out anyway and play with the other 100 guys who don't like being babied. Hope you like throwing your cockpit-making hard work away, because the cheese poptart super-pros will love having an even easier time.

And the first time player is still in the same ******* as ever. I still can't get my friends to play this. Just make a decent tutorial with a GOOD introduction to the battletech universe, the current timeline and the whole mechwarrior thing instead of pulling this outta your ***** please.

Well buddy of course, in your words....

3PV creates
additional SITUATION AWARENESS... of course, theres no more situation awareness, you already can see it all.
requires different NAVIGATION SKILLS... of course, you will see a turn in advantage, kinda noobish if you still run into enemy's mech legs.
adds to SCOUTING... of course, instead of using scouting skills, you just simply watch over the ridge
adds to TEAMWORK... naaaaaah, even you can't defend this point, teamwork would be a lot more easier if you can see the whole field.

Thing is, this is not a tool, we should not invent words for this feature, this is a switcher, to make MWO an easier game.

So again...

Making the game easier
for the people who can't improve their game
will not make MWO a more popular game.

RIP 3PV

Friendly reminder: This addition of 3PV is grounds for asking and getting a refund for your Founder's. As the goods described were not delivered as they were stated they would. A clause of fraudulent advertising laws.
