Sure this was complained about already but im not reading 5 pages. The win of the day is only for xp? woohoo now i can pile more exp onto the 55k+ sitting on some of my mechs already... Doesnt really help much with new variants either since Basic and elite only take me at most 1 day per variant...

They give bonus XP so you will use $$$ to turn extra into General XP.
They don't want to give bonus C-Bills, they want you to use $$$ to replace C-Bills.

You will notice they always give away XP, they never give away what MC buys (i.e. C-Bill stuff).

This is how they monetise their game. It's not evil, but get used to it.

After having played a few matches of 12v12, all I can really say is that carrying 11 people is a lot harder than carrying 7.

That and FPS is halved, from 50-25.

Going back on break from this game.

Edit:The funny thing about the FPS... It's 25 even if I walk right up to a mountain or face away into the sky or background not looking at any mechs at all... Doesn't make much sense to me...

yup, my fps has tanked also... low settings, ultra, no difference. facing wall/ground, not moving, no difference, the fps will dip DRAMATICLY for periods of 5-10 seconds. running a 4.0ghz cpu, radeon 7500, 16gb 1700 ram.....

Horrible patch.Peformance went to ****.Never had any kind of FPS drops in MWO with my PC and now that there are 8 mechs more on the battlefield it becomes a complete slideshow?Yeah, right.

Last match i was on Alpine.2000 meter away from me was a battle going on that i couldn't even see except for some lasers and just looking in the direction where the battle was going on it became a 20 FPS slideshow.

EDIT:Get some people that developed the cryengine to help you out PGI,seriously.

680m, Sorry forgot to mention I'm on a high end gaming laptop. But even playing Battlefield 3 on max settings I get between 70-80 fps and I don't understand how this game can even come close to drawing more then BF3 does.

I'm using a 675m and this game is ridiculous. It's all due to very poor optimization and developers that are unfamiliar with Cryengine.

Ah, yea, the m is definitely the kicker there. I went from a desktop 460 to a laptop 560m and took a performance hit, bummed me out at the time. I used to play mwo on the 560m and I'd get like 25 fps on medium at best. I see where you're coming from. I think it's lighting. Turn down anything lighting/shadows related, that's where I found the most fps gains.

Not sure if you'll read this, but for anyone else that is interested make sure you run MWO in "Fullscreen" mode, not windowed - your 2nd GPU will not clock up when rendering a window, whether "windowed" or "Full window." Probably a DirectX call limitation or something. I've gotten CrossfireX to work without much of an issue (you can force profiles too...), so SLI users should be able to get this working as well - just make sure you're in Full Screen mode!

Performance degrades with Crossfire or SLI forced on.

Counter-intuitive, but true.

The amount of ammo taken on to the field increased with the number of targets already, so no, it's not that. It's clearly meant to be a buff to weapons that have extra critical multipliers. Why spend time on coding a new system instead of just increasing the numbers on those weapons themselves? I have no idea.

...

I totally agree and I feel the same way about ghost heat. If the net effect of buffing crits is more damage, just give weapons more damage. If the net effect of ghost heat is more heat, just give weapons more heat to begin with.

Sadly he's right. : /

But I still can't help but be miffed they couldn't even give us this one thing to help our C-bill gain. If I make the time I can play maybe 12 matches a night max. More on the weekend, but generally I don't like to play that long. It's a boring grind to unlock each variant. To then unlock each basic skill set and elite skill set.

I hate to compare to other games. But World of Tanks even has 5x credits first win bonuses on holidays and special events. League of legends also offers an IP bonus to your win. Come on. I know you need to make money, but come on, give us this one. : (

Or as a constructive suggestion. Perhaps make the first win of the day give C-bill gain if you're premium member! There by encouraging me to actually spend some money.

It's not so much that the cards are under powered and more the fact that MWO is a resource hog for no reason. I can play newer games on max settings with better FPS than I can with MWO.

Sorry it's not helping you, but I'm one of those "dreaded" casual players and it's helping me a lot. It astounds me that people are actually complaining about it.

Still a good patch after playing a while, but few issues still:

1. I too experienced an fps drop. Not as drastic as most, but still. Cannot be my GPU, I'm quite sure it's CPU limited. My GPU is GTX670 and changing settings has no effect at all on fps. My CPU is E8500.

2. Reducing MC income due to 12v12 means that PGI thinks we will do more damage in a battle. Now to do more damage we need more ammo. So either increase ammo per ton or revert income to what it was. Otherwise logic is thrown out the window.

3. Double xp is useless since nobody needs xp. I have loads of free xp I don't need already.

Not be able to choose if you want 8vs8 or 12vs12 sucks, i for myself really dont like the new 12vs12, performance was way better before

+1 We should be able to pick between 24 and 16 man games. Some of the older smaller maps are turning into nothing but luck. Nothing tactical about those games. Just plain mess. While on other side new bigger maps are awesome to play on now, even in slower Assault mechs.

Yeah i know this feel it is same at me since 12vs12 i cant play anymore fps so low i see only lasers rockets bum pow and i waiting for die every match.(i have pretty good hardware). And if we r not going to get info about solving this im sadly off from this game. :P

The FPS drop off is of some concern, and I agree taht the smaller maps are surely who has the most assault mechs. Ive tried using my Quickdraw on a straggler several times, just to have 4-5 other mechs turn around and alpha me one good time. Now I do understand there will be a weight penalty eventually, but good god.

Plz dont throw away 8vs8. Just let us chose if we want play 8 or 12 men and everything would be good.

Gotta love how they deliver stock mechs which are highly heat penalty impaired now.

PS: 12v12 blows. Huge drop in FPS even without a single mech on screen. Give back 8v8 and resize Terra Therma (could also fix the huge load of issues this map has while you're on it).

The c-bill nerf is ridiculous. I'm making less money now and killing even more. Absurd.

I hate to whine, I really do as I sincerely enjoy this game a lot. But for me this patch.. no. Just no. I though I'd like 12 v 12, but turns out it's even a bigger luck based clusterf*ck with the added benefits of certainly running through 8 tons of ammo before the match is done. So basically this was a huge nerf for any ammo based builds. And XL engines. Before, peeking over a hill meant that I usually ate a ppc or two at worst, now it's six plus a couple of ac/20's..

Also, the money model. I don't know if it's just greed or actual attempt to balance for more damage done.. But let's face it, people generally die quicker with more players around. In every game I've seen at least one poor ******* come around a corner and get one shotted by five mechs.

And then there is the performance drop. I got steady 50+ on my high'ish custom settings. Now I've seen it go below 20 in some occasions, which is simply unplayable.

Ahh... I guess it's just playing the slowest, thickest energy based assault until there are more options. Which I hate, so I won't.
