This Hotfix tripled my FPS (after the 12v12 introduction)! I am now doing around 30 to 40 FPS.

Finally! Thank you!

Did any else lose everything when this fix was applied, or was it just me? or was it because of some root error that made me have to uninstal and reinstall the game, some how get rid of litteraly everything ( including my some 20ish days left of premiam time), although if thats the case that means all that stuff isnt kept server side, which is rather odd and bad, any suggestions on what to do about this? repair tool? support ticket? give up?

(sorry if its seems short, but both in ahurry and a bit upset atm)

Restart the client, if stuff doesn't come back submit a support ticket. Everything is kept server side, so your client is either not reading it or something is wrong on the other end.

Thank you!! Thank you for this hotfix!! My frames had dropped to a point where the game was nearly unplayable after the 12v12 patch. Now FPS is better than it ever has been for me. My joy in back for the game!

Like many others have said, this hot fix was a huge success. I too am getting fps even beyond what I was getting before the 12v12 update. For the first time I am getting 50+ fps on most maps with medium settings, even River City Night is in the high 30's!

Just tested the hotfix on low settings, well tar me and cover me in feathers, i get better and more stable fps than i did before!.
I should be able to play with my previous settings judging how the game performed, i'm pretty happy with the speed you guys sorted this.

The fact alone that this patch has so much improved FPS for so many, even higher than what was seen in 8v8 is pretty significant. If you are still experiencing issues at this point, based on the overall improvement seen by so many, you should at the very least attempt to run the repair tool, or attempt a full reinstall.

Outside of that, don't just rail at PGI and say this sucks, fix it. Give them something to work with! Submit a support ticket with your system specs, a video of your performance, anything other than just plain text that you're having a problem. They can't troubleshoot in a vacuum, and when they don't get feedback from those having issues that's what you're forcing them to do. They can at least attempt to establish patterns or trouble spots with each case of issues that is submitted, but with no data to go on, they are left to guess. So if you're having issues, help them out a bit guys.

This patch took a friend who was 10-20 FPS pre-12V12 into 30+ FPS consistently (as opposed to 5-10 FPS yesterday). I'm seeing a 50% increase over the initial 12V12 implementation myself. This patch is great and still looks good. Thank you!

The fix brought me back to my prepatch fps, though sometimes fps drops to 10s for a second, usually its 40-50 depending on the map and action.
Thank you for quick response :(

FPS increased... but still suffer from random freezing. One was so bad it completely crashed my laptop, never happened before.

Well, before i posted the first commit, i launched, closed, and relaunched it and continued that sequance at least 3 times so i guess i just subbmit that ticket and hope its fixed before to long since i've already lost yesterday's and today's premium time due to the patch, thanks for the suggetion ( and glad that the stuff is kept server side, it would just be asking for trouble if it wasn't)

Okay whatever you have done works great. I have more FPS than i had ever before. Only on River city in the water my FPS breaks down. How can i reduce effects on the water?

still no luck for me, I'm stuck at about 10-20 fps, which is below what I consider playable, since my aim suffers pretty badly. Hopefully you guys can get that fixed up by the next patch, I won't be on for a few weeks anyways. Any chance the damn mech fairy wants to leave me a good patch while my mechs are sleepin?

There would be a lot more hero mechs around if they handed the saves over to playerbase.... :)

This patch made things much worse.

I've tried all settings, from my normal maxed everything down to low and they all produced sub 20fps.

Unplayable now.

Yep also one of the most basic principles in gaming computer is never 2 identical rigs suffer the same troubles.

Me and a friend run almost identical rigs, sinc Closed beta i rarely had any serious issue even with my old rig.

In the other hamd my friend a computer expert sema to get at least 1-2 odd bugs or issues once per month.

Oddly enough I wasn't affected by super bad fps this patch, and this hotfix has actually increased my fps by 10 so now i'm on 59-60 fps... maybe it didn't help those it should have, but I'm happy at least for the effect it had on me.

I got a huge performance increase as well. Very very pleased with this hotfix, PGI. On the the miniscule off-chance one of you actually reads this post, I would like to preface the following by saying that I am positive it reflects the attitude of the majority of those who have complained about your actions in the past: I know I've been very critical of quite a few of your past moves, but by no means is that because I refuse to see good when it's done. If I criticize something, it is because it has a fault. When something is done well, I will do nothing but laud it. This hotfix was an excellent move, implemented excellently, and in an excellent response time. Well done. You should feel proud of yourselves for this one. Thumbs way, way up!

I'm starting to think FPS is not really the problem here. Before the 12v12 patch, I was around 18 FPS most of the time. The view was a little choppy, but it was definitely playable. I could aim and hit whatever I wanted, with a few exceptions - being in the water on River City Night with thermal vision on caused the worst FPS hit by far. If I turned off thermal, and didn't use night vision either, it was just manageable.

Once the 12v12 patch came on, my FPS dropped down. I was regularly getting 6 to 12, with the lowest spikes being 4 and the highest 16. THAT was unplayable. I tried, but some maps were literally just slideshows for me. Frozen City(day, especially with thermal activated), River City and River City Night, Terra Therma, were all terrible. Add that to the fact Terra Therma has enough problems on its own to make it the worst map so far, and the fact it's still in heavy rotation, well... I was really considering giving up the game altogether.

Now that this hotfix has come in, my FPS is back up, and slightly higher than before. It averages 18 to 22. Sometimes it will spike up to 25. Now, this is where my point comes back in. I see a lot of people saying framerates in the 20's or just below 20 are "unplayable"(exact word). I really don't have that problem. And it's not a matter of being so used to ****** framerate that I have learned to compensate. The framerate as of right now makes the game smooth as butter. I don't notice ANY choppiness whatsoever. I NEVER have problems tracking anything, even top speed Spiders. Yet my framerate rarely goes over 22, and never over 25. So I don't think the FPS you see when you hit F9 really tells the whole story...
