In the lower level games which I play it does not appear that the mechanic is working as designed. I can't speak for the "hardcore" folk out in the ether but for us newbies the new perspective is nearly as confusing as the fist person one. I do not think that this is beneficial to the new player in its current itteration and would recomend a comprehensive tutorial in its stead. I see ones and twos using it but most will take a gander at their pretty pretty robot back and switch.

As a follow on, if others have strong opinions about the business practices of the fellows making this game I feel that there are better places to do it. It looks as though you have a solid argument but, responding angrily will more than likely not yield you anything.

I beg to differ. we weren't discussing 3rd person at that time. I had no real opinion of it then. PGI lied to Me once (no Coolant flush). I an allow for one stuck our foot in it. But this one hey had plenty of time to have given us the bad news before dropping the bomb. I haven't had a chance to actually test it, but frankly as many mishaps as the internal test team have had. they cannot be trusted to give valid feedback.

Folks at PGI how do we go about getting a refund for the Phoenix package?
Also I want a refund for my founders.
If I knew up front you would be forcing 3rd person view then I would not be bother with the game.
Right now I don't feel like investing more time and much less money on the game.

If I wanted Call of Duty with mechs I would be playing Hawken.

Tried a round and just uninstalled the game..I hadn't spent money on the game yet but was about to buy some mech bays because I did enjoy playing the game. But this change is inexcusable. I have tons of other options for games right now and even more so in the coming months with the new consoles coming out.

For someone whose in his 30s and grew up with the original mechwarrior games this decision was really troubling. And the defaulting to 3rd person view seems like its really just a slap in the face to your core audience...just my 2 cents. I'll keep tabs on the game and honestly i'll probably get the itch to play it again and install it again at some point. But I sure as hell will not be giving any money to PGI after this.

People I think the easy way to speak to PGI is simple.

STOP PLAYING.

I know it will be hard, it's a game we all love. But stop playing until they release what they have promised - separate queues.

Simple speak where it hurts them. Ask for Phoenix Package refunds (if you ordered via Paypal) it's not what they described. So you can easily get a refund.

Well, i dont see how 3PV imrpoves the piloting of noobs bcs you cant see your legs well, also not well your paintjob, its effect on immersion is negative and at all i totaly do not care for 3PV and will never use it for piloting.

No Cent in my Garage, no Cent on my Bank, the account drying out, til the inevitable end...

Here is my feedback.

1. PGI lied about 3PV. Plain and simple. It was promised that there would never be a combined que by senior management, yet here it is. There wasn't even the pretense of creating separate que's first and then combining a few months later (something I thought might be the "plan"). This is just patently disrespectful to me, as a customer, no matter how you slice it.

2. I will not even start the game until there is a 1PV-only que. Players in F2P are *content*...and you just lost one piece on the gameboard.

3. If the current combined que implementation is not rescinded within 48 hours, I will formally request a refund on my Phoenix Package. That would be 1924 CST on 22 August 2013. That is $80 in lost PGI revenue due to this decision.

Please note my tone. I am not some rage-quitter. I am a middle-aged adult. I have spent a decent amount of money on this game (more than any other because I love the IP). As such, I have no other choice but to vote with my pocketbook. Thx for listening.

Well,

After so many lies, broken promises and changes of directions, I'm planning to ask a refund of Phoenix Project if they not release the 1PV queue before the grace period.

I can't trust on PGI anymore. They can promise 1PV queue however they want, but I will only believe if I see myself playing in a 1PV queue only.

It's an interesting game this. Deciding if Russ and Bryan etc really have no idea how their own game plays or if they're just lying through their teeth because they know if we all found out for sure that this nonsense has taken six months to develop just so they can flog some horrid mech colours we'd go ape.

It's #3. The game doesn't have enough players to fill a middleschool gym and they need an actual player base full of actual humans if the game is going to survive. The hard truth is that you don't matter anymore, there just isn't enough enough people who want the old fashioned (and legitimately terrible) hardcore mech sim that you all demand to keep a game like this going.

Maybe if they didn't base the game off of the TT, but the TT is poison, it's mechanics are poison, it's background and story are poison, and just about every mechanic that could be implied by the TT is poisonous. Wanting a hardcore mech sim based off of an incompetently designed 30 year old dead board game was probably a bad idea.

I hate to lost the x2 gxp befoe i max seismic but i gotta agree. when the next patch? I'm off till then, and if it's not fixed...

For all you that bought Phoenix package. Get a refund, if they refuse, call you attorney generals office. It is bait and switch and against the law. Period. PGI has no leg to stand on.
