Thing is I knew this would happen in the back of my mind, even said it was a possibility in the forums. But i always hoped i was wrong.
How can I trust PGI when they betray my trust in them over and over again? How can I spend money on anything in game if it could all be changed on a whim?
They sold this to us on the basis that it would help new players understand torso twisting, yet I cant even see the legs on half my mechs? seriously?
I'm sorry pgi but this is why i was hesistant to buy the phoenix package and now im glad i waited. You are not going to be seeing another cent from me until you give me a cent. Very specifically give me back my Centurion-AH you Richard Camerons! That would be one of the very few things you could do to start to win back my trust in your company again.

Who do we contact at IGP to make this happen? IGP needs to know that PGI is self-destructing MWO.
Well, the easiest way would be this:
http://infinitegamep....com/contact-us
Of cause, one might still contact the person below, although that would be a little over the top in my personal opinion.

1. You don't see the legs! (if you are not piloting a light or some meds)
2. First person only queue removed.
Both could easily be changed - it's not like the first person mode would be something new - and nobody would bother about improvements for third person view if you didn't have to USE IT!
Exactly this, who cares if the player base is split up even further and wait times are longer, doing this would solve all the complaints, all the people saying ill come back when its fixed, all the people uninstalling, all the people asking for refunds, ALL OF IT.
But no all we get is lets see how it is after a week...

I’m tired of sifting through pages of “can’t trust PGI” and “where’s my hardcore queue?”
I mentioned this already (and understand about the sifting), but it's still there.

It's quite possible that the design changes are being made by IGP and PGI is just doing what they are told. I actually think this is most likely the way it actually is.

Time for me to chime in. I have always been a supporter of PGI. I love the energy, the passion, the heart and soul they have shown.
When people have claimed that PGI does not listen and does not care about their community, I have always scoffed it away as the work of trolls.
When others have run their keyboard mouths saying the know better than PGI as to how to make this game, my response has been, "Show Me".
When the il-named #savemwo pops up on my radar, all I can think is here are people wanting what they should not have. The right to speak for the whole community.
All of the above is still true.
So Believe me when I say, "This 3pv in every match is a mistake."
And you should know better.. You promised them something, and a screenshot earlier says it is possible
I can not think of a single reason possible to make that promise and then not deliver on it.
If you have a great reason, ffs post it and convince us.
AFTER you have kept your promise to the community about never having to play with or against 3pv. It is the only way forward at this point.
Now, Don't you boys and girls go anywhere, After reading this, I am in the unfortunate position of being out of microwave popcorn. BRB.

I've expressed my opinion here, not going to harp on it. We've all got until Sept 17th to get our Metacritic accounts and share our opinions of the game, good and bad, and see if MWO goes the way of Sim City or if any major gaming mags pick up articles about 'integrity in game design' or the like. Or perhaps the people on the forums are 'on an island' and gimped 3PV will make new players flock to MWO and the Gauss/PPC meta is awesome and, well, all the other issues that get mocked by PGIs leadership.

It's because it's hard to keep things straight when you are lying.
3PV is about money. It's about money for many reasons, not least of which is the preference for 3PV in Asia. New player experience is a nice little wagon to hitch-up to the side and say "You don't want the new player experience to be bad do you? You do want to grow the game, don't you?". You can't yes to those things, so that is the toe in the door.
IF it was about the new player experience, it WOULD have been implemented in training AND it would show you your legs so you can get used to the legs/torso in different directions.
But it's not. It's about money. Good luck PGI/IGP. May the money you get from new players who (apparently) want 3PV outstrip the money you were getting from those of us who didn't (And haven't managed to get a refund).

BTW, bump! Why would I ever have to make the decision to take the risk and peek out over an obstacle now? All that'll get me is the laser, ballistic, or missile blast I deserve...
This is pure casual gamer {Scrap}, not what I signed up for and spent my money on in playing a Mechwarrior game.

Marketing is about target markets, segments, and tailoring products to those segments. It's about making sure the segment or niche you're aiming at is big enough to be worthwhile, and then budget and develop accordingly.
When you make a sim mech game, you are aiming at a rather specific target audience. It's not the same audience as a game like Mechassault or Hawken. You are not aiming at the mass market of teenage console gamers and casual players. You are not aiming at the elderly, toddlers or girly girls either for that matter. You are aiming at mech sim players.
If that mech sim player market isn't big enough, that's your problem and will most likely result in the end of the product. You can dumb things down, but that is unlikely to work. Typically it has two effects - one, it'll decrease your appeal to the core market. Two, it wont properly gain the acceptance of the masses because the core game is still a relatively complex sim. Short of a complete rework you end up with no market and few sales, a mistake countless films and games (and many, many products) have made purely because they started with a niche and tried to expand beyond what their product was capable of. Happens all the time when big money execs or committees end up in charge.
If the market is too small and you aren't making enough money from MWO, it's too late now. Eject, sell up, get out while you still can. Dumbing it down wont fix anything. If you wanted mass market, you should have made a mass market game.
And IF (a big if) you actually know what you're doing here and are confident that there are enough players to have a hardcore mode separate to the main mode, this was exactly the wrong way to handle it. Hardcore mode should be enabled prior to dumbing down the rest of the game. That way you could avoid most of these shenanigans.

If I'm recalling the post in question, and it is a few pages back and I've moved on, it's likely the "beating" was due to the "not a normal person here. [you're all a bunch of stupid whiners]" as opposed to him having his own opinion. Perhaps he could/should take a piece of your own advice.

Well you see any time now Paul will show up and thank you for finding some "bugs" because clearly 3rd person is not supposed to do that even though that is exactly what it does and what people said it would do. I suspect they will be fixing "bugs" for a long time and will have to move back launch to Sept 17th 2015, and all other features sometime after launch as planned.

(Just one thing: I DO like the visual implementation of 3pv for the spider - you see the complete mech, which can be pretty nice while jumping)

Either enable the hardcore league or drop this {Scrap} from the game. It is wasted resources imho. Better focus on CW or UI2.0 or anything, but not this.
