Having fought the Goons in EVE before, I respect their ability to take on everyone without fear or doubts. I do want to see how the planet-conquering stuff works, as I don't really want to see an EVE style null-sec empire run by the Goons. All in all, I wish the Liao warriors good luck with their new friends, and can't wait to see the Goons across the field of battle.

Kurita forever!

We will carve the symbol of House Kurita out of the dead Davion worlds if you will carve a symbol of House Liao out of dead Davion worlds.

These posts have been very entertaining. 2 thumbs up for that. And at any rate looking forward to playing with or against the swarm, however politics at the time may dictate.

I'm down with that.

They are very organised, so we have to start to prepare for the goonswarm merc groups when they start their push into Draconis Combine Space.

Really? The DCMS (as well as everyone else) was caught by surprise. I recommend we emulate this.

We're just here to play some internet robot fightgames and thought we'd join the faction that is both least popular and least numerous, help balance things out and make sure we've got plenty of people to play against.

Unfortunately a few people seem to have taken offense to this.

Not me; I strongly condidered Liao. I commend you for picking them and for the reasons you did.

We don't share a border and have mutual enemies in the Federated Suns, who we DO share a border with. Why must we be enemies when we could work together and wipe the Fedrats off the face of the Inner Sphere forever? The Word has the will to do such great deeds, will you stand together with us, as brothers in wing?

Under Space Prince Mittani and Great House Lowtax, all things are possible.

(Squawk.)

I dunno. If you all keep spouting Lowtax and TENBUX, I'd just as soon not have to deal with you at all. If I have to, then as an enemy preferably; like anyone else who chooses to be annoying and call it "style".

The direction the invasion came from was the biggest surprise.
Previously, they've only had a few minor pirate raids and that was it.

None of us think this is "style". The only thing that seperates goons from anyone else on the internet is a degree of self awareness - we KNOW what we're doing is inherently dumb.

Please explain how this is an acceptable thing to say. Goons do dumb stuff in internet games that irritate people, and in your mind that merits an unfavourable comparison to a group that initiated a global conflict and presided over the productionised murder of millions? I think there's something wrong with your world view if a few guys going SQUAWK is worse than Dachau.

First you tell you're the only ones who see that playing games and everything revolving around them is dumb and then start talking really seriously, when he interprets your style. ;)

Please forgive me for not finding it funny when people compare things to Nazism. My sense of humour has a fairly broad range, but sadly it doesn't extend to being grouped with the people that put my grandmother into a work camp and executed her brother.

Goons are not very serious about Internet Robots, but we are very serious about genocide and hate. Posted Image

Nah, Goons aren't even close to Nazis. It's that kind of ignorant post that lowers the tone for any game/forum. Meet the Goons on the battlefield, not the forums.

Dang. I would like your post, but...

You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day

It's the thought that counts.

I'm mostly confused on how we would meet on the BATTLEFIELD anyways, unless we work together to drive a pathway straight through Davion space first. Which, hey, I'm all for now that I think about it.

I'm imagining a little meandering country road, winding all over Fedsuns holdings.

Yes, this would be good. Please ignore my Fedrat colours. I'm actually a NOBLE TETATAE sleeper agent.

As far as I'm concerned, the Goons are as useful as House Marik to distract the enemies of the DCMS. I'm more worried about the combined might of House Davion and Steiner. The Federated Commonwealth is no joke, being larger than any other faction, and until the Clans show up they are the number one enemy in my opinion.

Would you think it beyond the Goonies to play Liao until the Clans come into play, and then flip to harrass both IS and Clan zones with equal country fried zest?
