We all know you made this topic to make it look like you "listen to your CORE AUDIENCE" and to have the opportunity to close the other thread without creating a lot of uproar. That thread made you look bad so you looked for a bait to lure the people away and try to make them forget

That's exactly what they are providing though. 2 queues, one combined, one 1PV only. You never have to play in the combined queue.

No they are not. And please just stop White Knight Trolling and do something useful in your time with your highly decorated BS civil engineering.

I would be willing to bet that if the poll was 'should 3PV be removed from the game all together' the results would be VERY similar.

PGI wasted development time and dollars on a feature few (if ANY) wanted instead of developing the content they told us they would. Still no Community Warfare, still have to scroll through 92 mechs (no UI 2.0), but hay we have 3PV (makes a fist and waves it up and down by crotch). That is alright though, PGI didn't really want any more of my money anyway.

Make no doubt about it....I stay only for my unit. A unit I might add that has already developed and implemented an awards system, and that has hosted internal tournaments (through no help of PGI).

It is a sad state of affairs when a unit has done more to develop a game, then the game staff. Then again, with 3PV out before CW and UI 2.0 these are sad times.

I entirely agree with this poster's thoughts. I'm here because I feel like I owe it to those goons who still want to try a stompy robot game to ensure there is the best stompy robot game available, but trying to stop the downward spiral is one hell of an uphill battle.

I'm a solo player and I want 1pv...

You're never a solo player, unless there are 11 disconnects on your side. You always have a team with you. And teamwork wins matches.

I can't vote because this doesn't effect me at all. I don't play in 12 mans. I get lumped with the "casual" tag (even though i will play a game a lot) because i'm not at this time interested in joining big groups.
I play in pugs and have no interest in playing the game with the 3pv crowd, hence why i quit the other day. If you add in a poll for a 3pv only queue i think you would be stepping in the right direction instead of quelling the voices of the 12 man players and abandoning pug players opinions.

Edit: *The public queues will remain a mix of 1PV and 3PV modes and Hardcore mode will be removed from the drop down list*

So does that mean all those who don't want to pug in a 1pv/3pv queue should vote no?

No, because the players should have a choise of doing 1PV/3PV or 1PV-only, even in 12v12. It should not be limited to just one option.

As a PUG or a Lawman, I would also like to limit the view. You said you would make it that way, now follow through and do as you said.

Say what you do.
DO what you say.
PROVE it.

This is a step in the right direction for me, although I would like the option of doing less than 12 v 12 premade groups in 1PV only as well.

For all those that are against 3PV, in it's entirety or otherwise, this is your true way to make your voice heard. Not just through this poll, but by only dropping in the 12v12 premade queue if/when it becomes 1PV only.

Yes, I realize many people don't want to play in the full pre-made queue only, or may not have the numbers, but we must find a way to make this happen. Find an organization to cooperate with temporarily if you must. If you truly want to see 3PV shifted to new pilot and tutorial use only, find a way to make it happen that every drop is in a group of 12 should this be implemented.

If enough people gather into the 12 pilot group drops specifically because it is 3PV-free, perhaps we can get PGI to consider 1PV only queues across the board beyond this change as well.

OR... perhaps they'll just look at what happens and say, "Cool, problem solved."

If you don't want to play in, or against 3PV, and want to influence PGI's decision making... vote with your wallet and your feet. Don't buy anything, and don't provide content for other players by playing, until the 1PV-Only queue is instated and maintained. Players jumping through hoops to form ad-hoc 12 man 'pre-mades' with other people they may not even know, will be masking the problem.

PGI should be solving the problem, not the customers.

Tell you what you sods.
We don't want limitations in only the 12v12 ques. We want the standard limitation of ques you promised in the first place. Where 1PV only or 3PV only exist. Don't try and spoon feed us more bull {Scrap}. Start giving us what you promised in the first place. That's what will get people to start having faith and believing in you again. Keep your promise. Keep your word.

I originally voted yes but then deleted my vote because this poll doesn't correctly address concerns about 1PV in solo queue.

Proposal: Limit 12 v 12 pre-made group matches to 1PV only.
Release Date: Mid to Late September

Details: 12 man pre-made group matches will have 1PV enforced as the only useable view mode. Players will not be able to switch between 1PV and 3PV when playing in 12 v 12 pre-made match play.

This gives our core audience, who represent almost exclusively the 12 man team group play, a place to enjoy a pure 1PV experience.

The public queues will remain a mix of 1PV and 3PV modes and Hardcore mode will be removed from the drop down list. Future enhancements to the matchmaker will allow stricter tonnage limits, and encourage a more fair and level playing field for all MWO matches.

not an acceptable solution. put seperate que in like you guys told us you would when you went back on your word about 3pv.

Sooooo.... this is a silent admission that 3PV has advantages that 1PV does not?

Noted.

i am not trying to troll here, but seriously... what is this Poll going to tell you, if people who care enough about the game to visit the forums are the vocal minority?

edit:

yeah, ok.
So i have to modify my question a bit:
What is this Poll going to tell you, if people who care enough about the game to visit the forums, and who dislike 3pv and / or want seperated queues, are the vocal minority?

What if I can't get 11 other players to team up?

Why am I still posting here?

Seriously, for my own mental health, just ban me :)

BTW folks, in order to make these forums palatable we are provided with a great tool, the ignore feature. It's a bit hidden but go to your profile, then forum profile, edit profile and you'll see and ignore list tab. Adding certain folks makes this whole discussion look different. :)
