The Mad Kitteh stands among the most iconic mechs in all of Battletech and Mechwarrior...it pretty much HAD to get into the game. Mechwarrior without the Mad Cat is like a sandwich without the bun.
The being said, I have very little doubt in my mind that it will have hitboxes horrible enough to make the pre-buff Kintaro feel good about itself.

To me the Warhammer will always be the iconic mech, cause thats what was on the cover of my 3rd edition boxset when I was a kid! Timberwolf is cool, but it's all about the Mad Dog! WHERES MAH MAD DOG!?!?!??!!

Yes, but now we have PROOF and CONFIRMATION. That means it is on the way.

The Timberwolf (Madcat) for example has a huge CT that juts forward and can be easily hit from the side just like a Catapult, plus it has huge missile boxes which will have to be either attached to their arms or side torsos. Whatever the case they are going to be very vulnerable to fire. Same goes for the Maddog (Vulture), hit has the same jutting forward torso as a Dragon.
Also look at the sheer mass and width of the Warhawk and Direwolf. Both have the jutting torso but have huge side torsos as well. Oh and talking about a Walking CTs, just look at the Gladiator and the Gargoyle. The Summoner might have this problem as well.
This leaves the Hellbringer, Nova, Stromcrow, Ice Ferret, Viper, Kit Fox, Mist Lynx and Fire Month which are basically the lights and mediums with only one 65 ton heavy that doesn't look like it will have hit box issues.

It's really a no brainer for PGI. They have set the bar so so very very low for launch, that they can spring a few cool surprises to generate a little excitement.

That Hellbringer will be like the Jagermech on steroids. Think about it...full arm movement, Omni slots, 86.4 kp/h, a decent profile, lighter, more compact weapons, and it's one weakness of low armor pretty much non-existent.

Nice to see the theory that Clans will be laundering C-Bills through ComStar.
