people who left the game for a while come back on LAUNCH day! and what do they get? a buggier product that seems even less optimized than before...and even more unbalanced
not to mention new players who have to deal w/ the ungodly "ghost heat mechanics"...but hey at least they get 3pv (oh wait...that doesnt help at all) and a half-assed tutorial
i can only guess that this was their april fools joke...way to meet the deadline

Launch day! Small nerf on UAC5 but still meta weapons, small buff on flamers and AC2, Trials are champ mechs, we have a new camo and few bug fixes that have nothing to do with balance...
Wow... There is no... I mean no freaking difference with the godamn BETA, seriously what was the point of keeping the word Beta all this time if this is a launch?! No CW, not even the phoenix package, no new mechs or content ( 1 camo wohoo). Beta means you test stuff up since were still stuck with the crappy ghost heat system at launch its going to stay?! I really have hope for this game and its not too late to save it but 250$ later i m still waiting for it, the graphics are ok but cant break trees with 100 tons behemoth yet huh?
NO WAIT I HAVE A CREDIT BUTTON WITH MY NAME IN IT UNDER THE LEGENDARY FOUNDERS!!! That just nailed my day...
This launch is a joke, should have stayed in beta UNTIL they fixed everything up, not a second before that.
I have a theory as to why they launched when they did and had nothing to show for it. Yesterday was the last Tuesday of the summer. Fall begins next week. When your publisher tells you "you're releasing in Summer 2013" and your team moves at a glacial pace because of "design by committee", of course you'll delay until the last possible day to release, and that order to release also explains why the game is very, very far from complete at "launch."
Launch is nothing special because the launch date was forced upon them. PGI's failure to address serious issues with their game and poor managerial decisions is mostly coincidental.

Why because what he said has a ring of truth too it? You are such an *** kissing PGI ball cupping ********** dude. Give up. There are problems with the game, everyone see's that and accepts it except you and your white knight brotherhood. Just because people choose to be vocal about the issues the game readily has doesnt mean they are haters. The only hater I see is you and your inability to come an agreement that, yes, MWO has some MAJOR issues and one of those is the sudden change in direction from the developers from what what was stated to be the core pillars of the game to what we have now. I love Battletech, **** I'm canonized in Battletech fiction. I also think MWO has a lot of promise, but so far is failing to live up to its potential. It's not the haters that are bringing this game down, itss the white knight fucktards like you that make it sound like everything is just fine and we will see this sudden improvement if we give it time. PGI had time, that time has passed. Now they need to face the criticism and deal with it.

Precentor Christopher Schmidt:
Commander of the ROM Forces on Luthien, Schmidt pilots one of the newer 008 variants to deadly effect. Intelligence from O5P indicates that Schmidt is the one most likely responsible for detonating three tactical nuclear bombs within the Luthien Armor Works megaplex, completely destroying the facility and killing an estimated 80,000 people. The First Genyosha has made it a priority to bring down Precentor Schmidt and his Level II Circle of the Holy, though the presence of some Manei Domini troops within the unit makes that a difficult mission.
A million and one thanks to Ben H. Rome (GhostBear), BattleTech Assistant Line Developer!

What's the distance from the Sun to Pluto? That times a trillion, and you'll be about 5% of the way there.
That video was not made by PGI, is a compilation video spanning everything including closed beta, that particular scene is staged, with all of the mechs in a 12v12 all moving in the same direction shooting at nothing, and PGI did not make that video.
