i would still rather play this over hawken. I logged in during early beta and my mech was a microwave with legs.

I would rather play this than any other game on the market right now.

Feels like the slowest development ever. What is the point of this launch? Is there even anything significant about it besides its a "launch"? Yeah new maps and mechs are always good (except when they are outrageously priced AHEM), but I want to see more gametypes! This game is so stale to me now and it apparently just launched yesterday.

To the whiners, complainers and BPM'ers: we will always have you around as good comic relief material to chuckle at. You are playing A GAME ON A COMPUTER - Get over yourselves and think for a moment that the world, nay the universe does not revolve around you or your own desires. If you didn't like the way that a particular weapons effectiveness was altered, your time to speak-up about it is OVER; it's not PGI's fault that you didn't understand what BETA TESTING is all about. Testers provide input to the Developers to assist in the development cycle. We will *not* miss you one single bit if you chose to stop playing MWO, and your commentary here in this late point in the Beta Test process is a joke. Do the Game Development Industry a favor and NEVER volunteer to Beta Test for another game, because your complaints NOW contribute NOTHING to the process, and only serve to show what massive jerks you are.

You are completely, hopelessly delusional. If you looked back at the old forums (which are now conveniently locked and/or hidden depending on what part you're looking for), you'd notice that we DID offer feedback on weapon balancing, early, often, and in a logical, comprehensive format.

We were ignored, as we were on everything else we took issue with. "Oh, but PGI took polls!" Yes, and all of them were either horribly biased (which is now ironically a bannable offense) or little more than a front for actions they planned to take regardless of community feedback, so they could claim they "listened to their customers."

If Beta wasn't the time for us to be heard since we were just "being entitled and the game isn't finished" and launch isn't the time to complain because "beta testing is OVER!!!1!one! (and the game's still not finished because lol 'line in the sand')", then when and where SHOULD we have raised complaints?

Nevermind, because according to people like you, we shouldn't raise complaints. We should be thankful that PGI brought the franchise back from the dead and is GIVING us a game to play FOR FREE. It's not like most of us funded their development process via crowdfunding before the game ever launched and should thus be treated with utmost respect both as customers and their initial invest-

Oh, wait.

MWO will have a bright future alright. It'll come from the glowing afterburners of the fanbase rocketing off to Star Citizen.

Launch... and we still have no community warfare.

No offense guys but you'll never retain much of a player base without it.

Lame launch...a cockpit item? How about some freebies to all of us who have tested and supported this game since inception?

The amount of improvements they've made to Cryengine is pretty astounding. I bet Chris Roberts is looking at their network engineers and cryengine developers and trying to see if he can lure them off to Texas.

...you think Roberts wants Star Citizen to have large numbers of disconnects, worse graphics and lower functionality than Crysis 3 (for all that game's other problems), buggy-as-hell hit detection and no DX11 support?

Jesus christ that post gave me cancer.

Hangar module already looks and runs better than MWO. I think they'll be fine.

He doesn't need them. He's got guys from Crytek coming to HIM to help because his game shows promise, unlike a certain other CryEngine 3 game that fails to use any of the engine's built-in utilities...

Beta: 2 game modes, crappy ghost heat system and tons of problems to solve.

Launch day! Small nerf on UAC5 but still meta weapons, small buff on flamers and AC2, Trials are champ mechs, we have a new camo and few bug fixes that have nothing to do with balance...

Wow... There is no... I mean no freaking difference with the godamn BETA, seriously what was the point of keeping the word Beta all this time if this is a launch?! No CW, not even the phoenix package, no new mechs or content ( 1 camo wohoo). Beta means you test stuff up since were still stuck with the crappy ghost heat system at launch its going to stay?! I really have hope for this game and its not too late to save it but 250$ later i m still waiting for it, the graphics are ok but cant break trees with 100 tons behemoth yet huh?

NO WAIT I HAVE A CREDIT BUTTON WITH MY NAME IN IT UNDER THE LEGENDARY FOUNDERS!!! That just nailed my day...

This launch is a joke, should have stayed in beta UNTIL they fixed everything up, not a second before that.

He had the foresight to hire one of the authors of the CryEngine 3 Cookbook and the other is one of the several CryTek guys showing their artists the ropes. That is a pretty good start in my estimation.

The biggest difference is going to be manpower and time - PGI seemed to have underestimated both significantly.
