Really wished this game would have succeeded, however i feel that it deserves the low rating that it is getting on metacritic. They have been giving promises after promises about where the game is going, and rarely if ever deliver completely and on time, and quite often will pull out some random other BS that no one wants.

I basically have all Hero mechs, I've bought plenty of regular mechs for MC instead of grinding for them... Like I said, I hate the grind and if I want it now, I get it now. Many of the purchases were probably influenced by some sort of narcotic. I mean just look at my username! lol But to be fair, it's probably the hundreds of XP conversions that ate up a large chunk of it.
well, I'm glad to know I'm not the only pharmacist on these forums

Yea, disgruntled players giving the game a 0 is sure gonna open some eyes. Critic reviews are what to trust, not pissed off kids.
Well, it's over 50% positive reviews now. And about 10% neutral. Despite a concerted effort by the vocal minority, it appears people actually enjoy the game.

This is entirely false and the people that continue to perpetuate it on these forums need to get their facts straight.
The MW:LL team stopped of their own free will without any contact from PGI or IGP.
Now mind you, that is not to say that they would not have been stopped eventually, but it factually did not happen even remotely the way you portray it.
You are very wrong, they were politely (and strongly) asked by PGI to finish development.

That, or people thinking they need to game metacritic by "voting 10 to offset the haters".

That is not what the guys at MW:LL said.
I can't believe these old lies are coming back.

And all the zero votes? Those are legitimate?

I don't see why a vote of "zero" would be intrinsically more or less legitimate than a vote of "four" or "eight", unless you think that everyone who disagrees with you automatically "hates MWO" or "is a troll" or "must be wrong because they disagree".
I mean, user reviews are based on the users' experience and feelings about something. Who are you to say that they are wrong to feel a certain way, and then express themselves accordingly? (Admittedly a person can have bad/poor reasons for feeling and acting a certain way, but to claim that they are automatically wrong for feeling a certain way is fallacious.)
Edit: Just to be clear, I am saying that there is nothing wrong with putting in whatever score you want to, provided it expresses your experiences with the product as translated to a decimal scale. Rating a product as "10/10 because there are a bunch of people who rated it below 7, or rated it as 0" is an attempt to game the reviewing system to present an outcome you view as more favorable.
If you value honesty and integrity, do not do this.

Numb nuts the 25 shooters of all time was some crackhead at pc gamer who IGP has been beating the back of their head agains't the bottom of his desk. If you get my drift. Total payoff for that one. Although PC Gamer has NEVER been a reputable actual critic anyway. Just like IGN jokers.

So, they weren't forced. They voluntarily shut down. Got it.
I think you missed the part where they describe the communication as "passive-aggressive". That is to say "PGI told them to stop, or they would resort to legal methods to get them to stop. But they did so in a polite fashion."
edit: It's like a bank telling you that they are going to start repossessing your house next week, please move your stuff out before we start the legal stuff so it goes smoothly. In the case of MWLL, the studio that held the rights, Wandering Samurai, agreed that they would cease development within a certain time-frame.
Don't delude yourself, someone told them to stop, or they would make them stop.

When they originally talked about this a year ago+, they said it was perfectly legit. Now they are changing their mind?
That makes them liars, doesn't it? Why should we trust what they are saying now?
