Kept biting my tongue for the most part since signing up in my first mech, but gotta say it now....I'm a little, I dunno, underwhelmed? I've been tagging along for about a month now, dropping when and where possible. Had a few mechs, trialled a few others, bought my Sarah's J, but with just the two game modes on release and the same number of maps available since I joined up, there's nothing new on "go live". Oh, I get a little cockpit item for playing a few rounds, most of which I'll end up knocking out in a night or two, but nothing else? I'll keep playing, but I'm not gonna be paying.

PREDICTION: Shortly after October 1st PGI will issue a press release showing how big a success launch was, and will use the number of Operation 24 cockpit items given out as statistical evidence of this success.

You just remember that I called it.

People don't realise that 2 years is not that long to go from scraps of design paper to a playable, stable product... It takes a long time to come from nothing to a full fledged product. Sure, we could've argued that they shouldn't have shown us anything till in another year when the game would be in a better and more complete state. But, meh.

Pretty sad launch, you could surprise us with an unannounced mech, or with new challenges to unlock some stuff once completed (not an hanging cockpit item, maybe a camo or free colors!), you could celebrate this day by enabling a day of free premium time for everybody or a double xp day (or both!), add a never seen map.. you could do a thousands of things to properly celebrate a milestone that.. sadly is only a normal patch day.

Meh, I'm fine with the class matchmaking, the balancs/fixes the Orions and whatever but you could do MUCH more than this.

Sadness arises.

Dear PGI,
Look I'm not going to sugar coat it. You have made some horrific mistakes. If it wasn't for the IP we wouldn't be here right now.

Having said that...

I do know how much work you have put into MWO. I understand how much more you want out of the Game.

Next year on this day I want to write a post worthy of the IP, my desires, your vision and this game.

While I tend not to have too much to say, one way or another, I will say this. A buddy of mine posted this in our clan channel, and while it is hilarious, I think it also touches a little too closely to the truth. There has been too much negative and not enough positive lately. But on the other hand, their support system worked just fine for me!
