What a dumb as **** launch. As if this 'launch' couldn't have happened at any point prior to this particular date. What the hell has PGI achieved by saying the game has launched?

Not even your ******* project phoenix mech pack dropped today. Just another mech, like has been happening every month for the last year or so. I suppose at the very least, all the mechs to have been revealed during the initial 'mech reveal frenzy' (i.e. when new mech concept art was been shown consistently once a month) have now been released. But that's just reaching at straws.

No new significant game modes. Maybe much of the game has been designed with flat out incompetence in mind. A hacked together spectacle that makes any changes no matter how trivial exceedingly difficult - much like their UI1.0 has been. And they've spent all this time trying to right the sins of their past.

That's the optimistic outlook anyway - and it implies that PGI will at some point be able to make rapid, iterative changes to the game, that it needs.

No... the reality seems much grimmer than that. A company that simply continues to not know what it's doing, and will drag a promising franchise resurrection down with its sheer incompetence.

I mean, they still haven't gotten around to adding the party groups of 5 or more back into the game. The one thing that might've changed up the stagnancy of the game play. How ******' hard can it be? To watch PGI do things, you might assume that it's a task that involves moving mountains and journeying to the middle of the earth.

THIS JUST IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OINGO BOINGO has HONORED MWO with a "new" song in celebration of the

LAUNCH!

In the words of Danny...

"Only a MWO
He really couldn't help it
Only a MWO
He didn't want to do it
Only a MWO
He's underprivileged and abused
Perhaps a little bit confused"

This is entirely false and the people that continue to perpetuate it on these forums need to get their facts straight.

The MW:LL team stopped of their own free will without any contact from PGI or IGP.

Now mind you, that is not to say that they would not have been stopped eventually, but it factually did not happen even remotely the way you portray it.

So, what you are saying is that Russ Bullock did not talk to the MWLL dev team and tell them they had to cease development at the end of that year, NOT add persistent stat tracking and the mechlab, etc.

You obviously were not there, and obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

Granted, it's a small sample size here : http://www.metacriti...hwarrior-online

but with 50% more negative than positive reviews, that should open some eyes ...
also. "top 25 pc shooters of all time"
laughable. who's the shill who dropped that quote.

I like the game, I still play it (since early beta) - it's fun - but it has no where near the feature list it needs to properly compete in today's market, and it looks like it's from 2004.

I want music from trailer theme to be as in-game music!!! I really love it. Pirahna, please, there are a lot of game fans who loves MW2-4 music and loves musical themes you use in trailers. =)

I feel like I'm missing something. Like . . . there was a launch? So we're not in a beta anymore? Like, we can pay money for MC? Somehow I feel like little has changed.

It's insidious. Exploiting the tendency of consumers to rush like lemmings towards any "LIMITED TIME ONLY" doodad without thinking about why the doodad is there in the first place.

yeah...how dare they provide free stuff which prompts us to play the game!

But the Cryengine 3 is the latest and most powerful thing ever! Surely this makes it prettier than any other game ever previously made! Also, the game is in beta they'll patch it in after launch they'll patch it after the launch party they'll do it SOON.

PGI, any way you can create a separate server with the MWO build from one year ago?

i know at least twenty people that would much rather play that game.

expected more not less,,ultra 5s back to uselessness,,might as well take them out of the game,,so many programming problems and holes in the spider that it has better than atlas armor,,i cant even take the thing out with 6 macheneguns in a hevy,,just how many times do we have to hit the spider? so the ac20 people won becouse the ultra 5s had at least some chance to take them,,well done with that,,i say nerf the ac20s to uselessness also,,max range 200 meters and thats it ,no damage after that,,the ac5 and ac2 sound like {Scrap},,cant u at least make them sound like a real rifle, the only gun that sounds like a rifle was the ultra 5s,,and forget about useing those now.

seeing more motion type lagg, and about the most serious lack of responsibility and programming error is again,,i had another hevy exploit the mech has holes,,point blank range, face to face the hevy passsed right thru me just to shoot me in the back,,that is halarious,,and irresponsible,,and proof that these mechs are not solid and have holes in them,,not a good thing to have half made mechs in the game at opening.

i can only imagine now with the locust i bought how bad it will be,,no jumpjets,,board game says its faster than any mech in the game right now,,but the game has speed limits,so the jenners, cadias,,and even the raven can keep up with a mech that is only 20 tons,,with little weaponry,no ecm,and no chance to do anything but get ripped every game,,what a ripp,,had i known about that i wud not have bought the thing.

not real impressed or real happy,,but will continue supporting the game,,,veyron

Congrats on the launch. I would have loved for extra content to be available after launch, but I guess that won't happen. However I still like this game and want to see where PGI takes it. I also understand that PGI has a really small team, and working in the programming industry, I can understand how difficult it is to manage something like MW:O that way.

Congrats on the official launch and release. Look forward to more from you.
