There really isn't much of a social system other than the friends list and the occasional tournament. I would recommend making the joining of certain houses gain some form of small bonus, such as joining Kurita gives a 5% c-bill boost, while joining Davion gives a 5% boost to XP. These are just examples so don't waste time nitpicking my math. You should also be able to see what other players who also belong to your house are online so you can invite them to matches, thereby building a little household solidarity.

these forums have been a shredder for the suggestion idea you propose
ive been here since closed beta and we actually had to ask them to postpone opening beta...they did listen that time...after that
not so much

You're late. Anything and everything that you can thing of, including very wise counsel from alot of MW2, MW3 and MW4 league organizers with more then 10 years experience playing MW online where dismissed and ignored for months for the fast cash mentality of grabbing the mech assault bunch. And here we stand. You're happy with this, good for you i'm really happy that you can find any type of enjoyment, but i doubt you even heard of BT before, so dont judge us.

You keep pitching fat ones....sooner or later someones gonna hit you out of the ball park. You would have to be the biggest pot stirrer on this forum.
Yep nice hit out the park Whizz, and I have to agree with this sentiment completely.
How many days have you been the top poster now for Heffay?
I know you were yesterday and today? How many days in a row now?
Do you really think that your are helping on the forums by posting so much now? Or are just deliberately trying to inflame the situation?

wow you missed the point completely. Go back and read the original dev blogs again. I am certain they had a part in the decision making process of most people when they said to themselves "Should I support this project as a founder or not"

Actually I was playing tabletop battle tech from the original box set back when it was cardboard mechs and little plastic stands all the way through the pewter and ralidium miniatures, but thanks for assuming to know my experience level with the game world.

I misread this as a "dependence problem" and got a laugh out of it before I realized what you actually said.
The answer to both questions, however, is "Very likely."
EDIT: It's still sad watching this all implode because of the ego of a few key devs, and nothing to do with talent or resources. Because that's precisely what happened. We would have forgiven the missing features if they were working with us on other things. This thread would be optimism and a lot of people still hoping to wait.
It's the 1-2 punch combo of "Eat features you don't want, fools!" and "Oh yeah, we have nothing we promised!" that has lit the player base on fire.
PS: Thus far my list of "100s of features" is up to about 31.

Anyways, I am not spending a single penny on this game until I see something like CW, UI 2.0 and all the major features we are anticipating; that's if I will still be playing this game by the time they are out.
Bear in mind, many of us are here because we are loyal to the BT franchise otherwise we wouldn't care about this game at all.
I was going to express my dissatisfaction...and this noble individual said everything I wanted to. Thank you, ROJ.

C'mon PGI, get me interested again. This didn't do it.

The Black Knights keep saying the White Knights are wrong.
The White Knights keep saying the Black Knights are wrong.
I'm asking myself why the BK's are still here? Why not letting the WK's enjoy the game? Is it really just anger? Is it because of some kind of "If we shall not get a Mechwarrior game following our concept, then no one else shall get it!"-behavior? Are you some agents from different publishers that don't want MWO to be successful because they're afraid of losing their customers? (my personal favourite)
You should've realised, that your yells go unheard and PGI goes the right way not to respond to the angry mob.
Finally the game still gains a lot of attention. And attention, no matter if it's good or bad, is always good promotion.
So, for the case you're those agents. Do your job right and leave the forums and those rating platforms in the www, just go and do nothing. Let there be silence all around this game and it will fall, because no one's gonna talk about it anymore.
For the case you're just angry, pls for gods sake stop it! If you're so angry, leave this game and never come back. I'm so sorry for you not getting the game you really wanted, I'm serious, it's sad to lose oneselfs' "baby", but don't be so selfish and stop spoiling the party for those who still like the game.

Where is the I am a paying and supportive founder who fell in love with the dev blogs and the closed beta but dislike the foolish decisions and content added against the wishes of the playerbase (insert coolant, ghost heat, crazy weapon tweaks, strange mech scaling, bad elo with constant vet vs day one people battles, non split queue 3pv... I could go on) and who dislike the direction of where this game seems to be going as if the supportive battletech/mechwarrior fans are not the current target audience then who is the highly casual console style teenage gamer who wont spend wads of cash and then stay around to spend wads more in the future?
Where is that option huh? you just think we are all still here complaining and voicing our opinions because we hate mechwarrior online? No if I hated it so much I would have never have became a founder and I would just turn around and never look back at this game.
Edit: oh as as for the hawken thing, I did briefly look at move gameplay videos when things started to go sour and its still a big NOPE for me and I dont think I will ever be interested in it.

Yeah, you know what? I'm going to take a moratorium on posting on these subjects for a while. I think enough has been said on this subject. I'll still be active in the Fan Art section though.
For those of you still playing (and I know you are), I'll see you in game!

I guess you just missed the part of "tabletop"....you know, six sided dice and mech sheets on a big dang map? No Internet. Actual gaming that involved real people not digital ones. Before online. Yes, I'm really that old. I also remember D&D before it was online, when it came in a red box and you actually had to be in the same room as the people playing with you. So to answer your question I was t part of an online league. I was part of a mercenary company before BattleTech even had a website.
