Really? That is the basis for your entire rating of the game? The Half-weight UA AC10?
They unbuffed the PPC/ERPPC.. this is where they're supposed to be.. and I still use PPCS/ERPPCS frequently..
You should probably remove your vote altogether.

This is one of the most ridiculously stupid sentiments I've ever read.
Edit: that hasn't been on a political blog.

I see the appeal to emotion you played there, I believe it is the fallacy known as guilt trip if I'm not mistaken.

The design of the mechs and the enviroment is very good.
There are though bugs in the draw distances that shouldn't be there.
Of course this games big fail is content and velopment speed.
only reviews that highlight these points have any relevance, those that can only say OMG I hate this game worse experience evah, to OMG I love this game I want its babies, should be noted for the name, to avoid both parties if you should end up in the same pug

There hasn't been a sentiment this [sarcasm] clearly brilliant [/sarcasm] expressed since Dubya announced "You're either with us or against us!" before invading Iraq for Hussein's (nonexistent) role in 9/11.

How many of you that gave it a 1 or 2 are still playing? If you are your still having fun or your addicted. Grow up and dont be over emotional. You do more damage then good.

So your entire enjoyment of the game was based on ONE weapon? I detect a cheese build player.

You should be bashing the people that gave it an unjustified high score as well. In any case, why do you care? Remember, PGI thinks the ones complaining are the vocal minority on an island and of no consequence.

Metacritic is supposed to be a place to get user reviews on a game. Honest reviews on a game, not ******** halfwits shouting "muh promise!" and bombing scores.
It looks incredibly dishonest, petty and vindictive. It means I have to refrain from mentioning MWO to anyone, so I'm not associated with this sort of thing.

The top score is valid for the game play that is currently live, not whats missing. I also do not take complaints of balance issues seriously at this point, since they are doing a great job on tuning I think. Way better than other games I have seen, and with a eye towards balance rather than FOTM.
Whats missing?

UI 2.0
Scipted music
Faction warfare
Maps, and map details (vehicles, destructibles etc)
Pilot ejection
Game modes
re adding collision/knockdown
etc.
All of which will be on the way as Mechwarrior Online continues to grow.
Other potential game wreckers that have been mentioned that I hope are not added.

Mech melee
Over powered and unbalanced clan factions and tech
Adding any other additions taking away Mechwarrior selling points(being a sim game not a fps clone).
and other game breakers.......

Don't you find it odd though that splitting the queues is a big issue?
Looking at that closely, what does that mean?
Is the community that small that splitting the queues is that significant an impact on match-making? If so, after the tepid launch, current "meh" reviews, and forum hostility that makes me wonder if the game is already too small, number-wise, to succeed.
If it's not the numbers, wouldn't a split have provided some valuable information/insight for the Developers?
What if statistically 3PV ran rampant over 1st PV players?
What if the opposit happened and 1PV dominated?
What if the numbers varied but were always somewhat close?
Any one of those situations would provide data, "metrics" if you will, that would supply valuable information to help in the decision making process and I shudder to think that they didn't just do it out of fear of not having enough players to support the queues.
It was Beta, and that's the time they should be jinking around with the game, collecting info on what works, and what the community likes. If it didn't work they could quickly roll back to a previous patch, but they didn't even try it.
The whole thing is "odd".
You suggest that they should do it for the metrics, even though you're well aware of the shitstorm that was caused because they SAID that there would be separate queues. What do you think would happen if they gave these people separate queues, looked at the data and then took the feature away? That would be suicide.
Separate queues would also have other ill effects like the HC players entering casual queue for roflstomps when they get bored of hard matches.
I'm nowhere claiming that it wouldn't be possible to do. I'm claiming it would make the gaming experience worse. You don't seem to really question this, just the part of how much worse it would be. I personally prefer not to make it worse at all.
And sorry to you all, but MWO is doing pretty well. You'd obviously hope that it's going towards a fiery death because you aren't being listened to in your childish crusade against a minor feature, but the current 5.4 is actually a very promising score. Diablo 3 has user rating of 3.8. Critic rating of 88/100. World of Tanks has user rating of 4.6, Critic rating of 80/100. Considering that the berzerk founders have likely already posted their 0/10 for the game they love to hate, the figure is likely to go up, and it's obvious that the reviews won't be anywhere near 54/100 like some here for some incomprehensible reason can fool themselves to believe.
Even the hate on the forums is a good thing, it means there are lots of people who feel strongly about the game. Some of those people will quit, some will calm down and enjoy the game. Which is slowly getting better despite the 3rd person view.
I'm pretty sure I'm not getting much love in the forums for being objective and neutral, it'd be much sexier to demand stuff. If I were to demand stuff, it'd be Timber Wolf and Marauder, not separate queues.

(ok, I'd take CW too.)

Seriously..... How old is everyone? Gotta love the internet. On one hand we have the "white knights" who are defending not the game itself, or even the developers, but the idea of what the game could be if allowed to grow, while ignoring some very real current issues. On the other we have the "haters" who like any immature person who feels scorned wants to sneak out and slash their ex-lovers tires and urinate in their gas tank proclaiming "that's what you get!" If they can't enjoy their company then no one can! Both sides are exaggerated extremes and completely ridiculous. Congrats on the few that are able to be level headed around here.
Relax people. It's just a game.
