My imagination..??? Are you serious, you can only go by the info available, and then extract from there...
Go get your shine box... :)
Prove me wrong.

Sounds a lot like you made a theory based on that quote about SRM HSR. Yet you posted it as an overall fact with an out of context part of that quote as your proof...

He already did prove you wrong :/ Read any of the posts?

He didn't prove a thing, and since "NONE" of us have the required data/information to point out exactly what is going on, then the burden of proof is not there to be had..

I will say it again, "you can only go by the info available, and then extract from there..."
Since the only admission we have, the only announcement we have directly works into my theory, then come up with a better idea.. Oh wait, there isn't one.

Like I said, if they release the reason why, and i'm wrong, then no biggy, but if i'm even partially correct, then..
"Oh My' :D

If you think SRMs are the only thing/weapon system that may be affected by HSR as a good probabiltiy, then "WOW".
Really..?? Ok then, 2 dimensional thinking is king here.

EDIT: contemplate the correct approach to the issue at hand, then get back to me.
2+2=4

It has nothing to do with whether or not your theory is correct.

You stated a theory as fact and used an out of context half quote to prove it.

Correct reasons behind it, if it is really an issue, is irrelevant.

The one possible example to see that was even offered as something to do with the "small mech chassis" being an issue that we have as a concrete example of PGI saying there is a Hit Reg problem being confirmed, and you want to argue semantics??
Get a clue, we have no other info, and nobody else has offered a 2+2=4 view of the problem, and you want to flame on about it??

I'm really looking forward to the day when we get the explanation for what is going on, and since we have almost no data to form an idea to why it's happening, then taking only what's given to use is the only logical way to approach it..

If it is not fact in the end, or at least mostly then "NO BIGGY", but I haven't seen anyone else putting forth an idea, or in reality putting 2+2 together...

We'll see, because "YOU" haven't put anything forward, neither has anyone else based on what we have to go by..
Quoting the only source that even comes close to addressing the issue is not the problem..
2 dimensional thinking is.

We will see, and I won't feel one bit bad if i'm off on this... We don't have any data/info to make a truly informed decision, when you have something to offer, come and post... :D

F.Y.I. I don't care if "ANYONE" likes the source I quoted, context or not... It's all they gave us so far..
Deal with it...

After over 6100 matches, I can say that the Spider now holds the current record for "what the heck" moments in battle, a title that was once held by the Raven 3L.

I have to agree.

The other night our team's last 'Mech was a Spider, literally surrounded in a river valley by 7+ opposing players. You know how an Atlas run by a new guy rocks around for about 10 seconds, going from undamaged to destroyed as it gets hit full-blast by the entire enemy team? The Spider did the same thing, except it was already damaged and, well, a Spider.

I'd never seen anything quite like it, and I see Spiders legitimately destroyed most of the time, but . . . yeah, what the heck!

I think you are not really reading what anybody is posting? Nobody has claimed it is not an acceptable theory. You however seem unwilling to admit that posting an out of context quote to misrepresent your theory as a fact is wrong.

It does not matter if somebody does not make a better theory. You posted half a misrepresented quote "proving" that there was an issue in the first place. Going on now to say it is the "best theory we have to explain the issue so I am right and you guys are wrong" does not make any sense...You fabricated this in the first place, you "proved" this was an issue with a lie and an out of context quote.

Now I am all for open discussion on the matter but you act as if your misrepresentation is fact and are still arguing now that you are not wrong to say so.

Honestly at this point whether there is an issue with hit reg or not makes no difference at all. Your argument falls at your first post, which is what other people pointed out. You are now just repeating yourself over and over saying the same things yet not reading at all. You have no proof there are hit reg issues which happen more on lights then any other mech, except srms, which is obviously going to be noticed more as they spread and lights have smaller bodies so they hit less anyway just from people missing. This is my last post to you on this matter, continue on blindly if you wish, there is no point trying to bring truth to you it seems as you do not wish to see it.

Not Jenners.
Not Commandos.
Spiders.

They pretty much have Atlas armor and the protection of lag speed.

Even when stationary, or at least to the point you can hit them with lasers, it takes too much effort to kill them. With Streaks and LB-X, while they hit more conistently, the armor just absorbs the brunt of the damage.

I have seen Spiders go down to 14% before dying, multiple times, and they also had multiple mechs atacking them. One was even legged and it took taking it down to 12% to kill it. Three mechs were converged on it and attacking it. It's gotten ridiculous. Concentrating fire doesn't work the same on a Spider as on other mechs. The hitbox just rolls the damage throughout the mech instead of one location like it should.

Jenners and commandos don't have this problem. They have acceptable hitboxes and speed, and while they can be destroyed easier, they can still tear you a new ******** and especially if you don't pay them attention.

Either Spiders need to have a better hitbox and/or the netcode needs to be brought up to speed. Their power on the battlefield is too much for their size, and I'm not even talking about swarms. A single Spider can murder a Catapult, even if the Cat has Streaks and Medium Lasers.

Disregard the other obvious thread because the only issue here is the Spider mech, not lights in general.

14% bull. Fkin. ****. if you are going to blatantly lie at least make it somewhat believable, 30% i would of believed but 14% is not even possible.

also, you must be very very very bad if you cant kill a legged spider, they have armor made of paper, once they lose a leg they die in a few shots, its only the speed that gives them an advantage thanks to dodgy hit detection on fast moving targets.

people speak as if spiders are harbingers of the end times, but come on guys they can carry a maximum of 7-8 tons of weaponry ( this is with a xl and some JJS, because lets face it who runs a spider without this) i will admit the hitbox is kinda borked but they are hardly the biggest threat on the field.

Exactly. The spider isn't the problem it's its hit boxes.

Just had a match on caustic were we lost nearly half our team wiping out all the enemy team apart from their three Spiders who went on to win the match, not by capping but by destroying all of us.

Spiders don't really have alot else going for them but size and speed, yes I own 3 I also own 3 jenners which are faster than the Spiders, none are fully elited, yes they can be damn annoying, yes they can be ******* to hit with torso mounted weapons (unless streaks) but they are also squishy, as the two found out when they ganged up on my victor, when I got isolated, they both recieved arm mounted ac20 goodness backed up with arm mounted lasers. Have I told everyone how much I love Victors

only time they worry me, when i'm in a crowd and get shot to bits by panic fire...OMG its a spider...SHOOT...first don't think, don't learn to lead or compensate for my high bing just blaze away and tear off my teams armour...... or in a stalker.

Basically spiders have a rep and people go OMG help, at the sight of them..like people did in WoT when a type 59 took aim, and later kv1 in 5 teir matches which I bullied in my 6lber tilda snail.

out of intrest what kind of ping and fps you getting I get around 50fps on my present settings and have a ping of about 97, thesedays, well the game records as such

The spider is basicly a commando with diffrent hardpoints - however as we all know its a bit smaller and most of all its hit-zones are incredible small and well placed.

Its easy to kill a jenner, even if it moves - and if it runs its even easier - because its CT has such a bit hitbox (even its head does).

A commando is like a spider, just much easier to kill - and a bit bigger - and this is where the spider needs to be.
