People are getting smart, they're waiting for PGI to start implementing things rather than taking their PR BS at face value anymore.

TL;DR: They've figured out what PGIGP's word is worth. :)

My hope is that they release the lone wolf and House loyalist information as well as CW phase 2 info the day after the sale ends.

"Wait... WAIT! NO! I WANT BACK IN! Please let me have my Phoenix mechs back!!!"

Everyone likes his Schadenfreude.

But seriously, if CW is any good, and that lone wolf and house loyalist stuff doesn't just sound awesome on whatever material blogs are printed on, then MW:O might thrive - and it will have other special offers. So what, a few people don't have a Batltemaster. But they might have the Timber Wolf, or whatever heck the next big package will contain.

That's what I'm hoping for.

We're a forgiving lot. Anger only lasts until the nex..."OMG MARAUDER!!!"

MechWarrior Online’s upcoming Community Warfare expansion detailed

Link to full article

Snippet that caught my eye:

"----Community Warfare will be delivered in three phases over the next six months, Ekman said. For more on MWO’s upcoming Community Warfare expansion, check out the full video here. The video also features some footage of MWO’s upcoming revamp of its interface system, UI 2.0, which is set to be released in the next four weeks, according to Ekman."

Incidently I'd like to point out, why am I shedding light on this to forum user's and there's no official announcement on the forum here about it, specifically that video link to NGNG's Twitch?

Uhmm...

http://mwomercs.com/...eedback-thread/

http://mwomercs.com/...re-association/

He also said during that video that he was going to put together a dev video showing off UI 2.0. While the video itself was from the launch event which was advertised pretty heavily on their website.. Not their fault if nobody watched it until they realized there was actually useful info in it.

Right. and they had nothing else to accomplish in the past 2 years that was more important to do first, like finish the mech combat part...

Do you honestly believe it's finished now? Here's from the top of my head. GH is band aid (UAC20s etc), ECM, half the laser weaponry useless, LRMs still a gamble to play and inefficient if not boated, choice ballistics useless (ac2, lbx10), streaks 'bugged', SRMs not registering half the time...

I've read that entire post the day he posted it, while it was somewhat informative, it didn't give the same information that was given in the article. Or did you not read the article?

PGI must have the highest quota of people who claim refunds, hate the game, and yet still play & consitently post on the forums.

interesting.

Oh I haven't touched this title since erm. Two weeks ago. After three weeks playing. Sometime after just activating premtime.

I have every intention of giving this game another swing, just not in the foreseeable future. Given how shortsighted I am, that foreseeable future could be within the next month or quarter and have you tried playing Kerbal Space Program? It's a sandbox space program sim. If not, there's a demo available via Steam or from their site - They just limit the number of parts you get, as far as I can tell. It's a worthy addition to anyone's digital library. Something along the lines of "A thinking person's third person adventure sandbox". I was never good at promoting things.

In the meantime, I'll sit on the forums to read and discuss community sentiment. Being jaded is fun.

Remember when they didn't delay the Flea because MASC was set up on time for launch? Me neither.

The way they described CW and Loyalty just sounded like rep grinding factions in WoW. No thank you.

Some of us drank that Kool Aid a year ago. So don't blame us if we're wary of the after-taste.

But hey, there's plenty more Kool Aid to go around, new drinking buddies are always welcome.

That's kind of how I see it. And how long before Phase 2 or 3 become "Their position at the time", basically that it's too much for them to implement, kind of like the original Conquest concept and Drop Ship modes.

What game is not a repeat grind of battle after battle to progress?

I too want faction hostility & not just a grind, but lets face it - every MMO out there is a grind of battles for more gear/stuff/prestige. that's pretty much any video game summed right up. fight, kill, more stuff, fight kill, more stuff. sell stuff, buy more stuff, fight, kill.

Like 3rd person view, which we all know was a far more pressing feature, right?

Man, the [not] {Noble MechWarriors} are out en masse.

People are still whining about 3PV? Weird. I thought that tantrum had tired itself out and went to take nappies.

It's called farming the work out to Korea instead of letting 7 guys on a rented office floor in Canada do it.

This is the dumbest logic I've ever heard and I have no idea why people still keep falling back on it. Oh right: because they have nothing else to fall back on.

This is the logic that says "you can't criticize it unless you wrote something better" that ignorant fans of written works and movies use. It's the same logic that sports fans use when people criticize NFL players. With that backwards logic, no critics could ever do what they did. In all its iterations, this "argument" has never gotten any more intelligent, and it still never proves anything in an intelligent debate... except that the person who fell back on it can't argue.

MPBT3025 devs did pretty well until EA and Microsoft got 'publisher-bone-itus' and canned it. Its considered one the top 10 multiplayer games of that time.

You're telling people if they can't make a better mech game, they should stop being critical? Fine, how's this: If you can't make posts on my level, you should stop replying in a critical way to others.

You need to earn about 30,000 more "likes" but at least you won't need to wrest an expensive license away from a timid owner!
