Champions count the same as their base variant, not separate. A BJ-1(C) is the same skill tree as a BJ-1.

I would sell the basic one, as the (C)'s bonus includes GXP earnings as well (by extension of GXP being based on regular XP earnings)

Owning two of a mech isn't necessarily awful, though. If it's a mech you love and you have multiple builds, having two can be nice. (I happen to have two BJ-1s, it's one of a few variants I have more than one of).

That's what I was planning on doing. By the way what does the I and G con figs stand for? Saw them listed as being used in my stats for two clan mechs but can't figure it out.

I - Invasion (the CB bonus prime versions)
G - Gold

There's a bug on the stats page so you'll see repeats of your prime stats.

I'm considering to buy a hero mech to soften the initial grind a bit. I own only 2 mechs atm, a Cataphract 3D and a Shadowhawk 2H, but I use the later mostly because heavy queue tends to be too long because those Timberwolf only players. If there were a Shadowhawk hero, I wouldn't hesitate too much, but I don't want to buy an Ilya because the high price and the long waiting times, and I don't know which medium hero to chose.

TL:DR Which medium hero mech worth its price the most?

Thanks. I thought it might be an actual different weapon variant or something. Didn't even think about Invasion or Gold.

Quite the pickle. I have no strong recommendations for a medium Hero mech, although I have heard good things about the Arrow. It's a fair bit lighter than the Shadowhawk, so I'd go for some runs in the trial BJ and look up some Arrow builds before getting too invested.

If you wanted to keep at the 55 ton range, the Griffin Sparky seems ok, although 'fast energy boat' or 'sniper' are really it's only options with only energy hardpoints. Have seen very few of these on the field.

Redshift is the a link to a thread with builds for Surf Y's lab that others have made? If they are stored on his site then I just accidentally overlooked that link.

Here's a couple of pinned topics that may help: http://mwomercs.com/...then-look-here/ http://mwomercs.com/...or-a-merc-unit/

The ideal way to get picked up if you don't have a specific group in mind is the fabled Hiring Hall. alternatively one can visit a large public TS3 like Comstar NA or NGNG, or browse the faction section of the forum.

the pilot name cannot be changed ingame at this time.

I know people who have changed their pilot name by contacting support, if you want your pilot name changed email support@mwomercs.com and ask them to change it, explaining why you want/need it changed.

I cannot guarentee that they will change your pilot name but it is worth asking.
