Which missiles also use Artemis?

SRMs and LRMs each use Artemis and pays for it via an extra tonnage and crit slot. These gain the most benefits Artemis can provide.

SSRMs and ATMs benefit from Artemis with faster lock on speeds, but nothing else. However, it's a "free" upgrade (after conversion cost), as it costs those systems nothing for the small benefit they gain from Artemis.

MRMs gain completely nothing from Artemis.

Thanks. Here is my deal about it. With it and using ATMs and SSRMs I often like to add some SRM 4's without Artemis. And really for the Clan, they are small. So if want to add four x SRM 4's, not having Artemis saves me 4 tons and 4 slots.

You really shouldn't mix different missile types anyway. If you want backup weapons, take some lasers.

A solid idea if this mech had any energy points. And a couple of others only have 2 and one will be a tag.

I'm not sure if there are lasers that can match the damage of SRMs considering the heat. To match the DPS of 2.87 I'd have to use an LPL and it's DPS is 2.80. So one LPL or 6 SRM 4's....

And these missiles overlap. And I can use the same skill nodes.

CT -> RT -> LT -> LA -> RA -> LL -> RL -> H
My unit confirmed that with PGI just a couple days ago.

Does anybody have an explanation for how it's been six years since the closed beta started and Bitching Betty still doesn't know the difference between left and right?

That one is hit or miss. Sometimes she's got it, other times she just thinks everything is left (or right).

I don't see it being consistent, so it may be a hard issue to solve. It's certainly annoying.

What does flamer ventilation do?

It reduces the heat buildup from Flamers.

Kiting is when you use speed and positioning to attack, but preventing your opponent from being able to effectively respond. Typically it's assigned to a more MMO styled game, where one attacks and then moves away from the target so they can't effectively counter attack without following. Typically, in an MMO, it also involves slowing the target down, so you can control where the fight will happen.

In MW:O, it would be more akin to a fast light mech attacking your back side to get you to turn around, then vanishing behind something so you can't fight back. Or running along the edge of a map and sniping at long range. (AKA: Very similar to skirmishing or poke and trading.)

From Google:
"Kiting refers to keeping an enemy chasing you while also keeping it at a range where it cannot attack you. This tactic is often used to more safely attack the enemy using a long-range attack or to distract the enemy while others attack it."

Thanks, two guys were using Ravens (with ecm) in a scouting match. I was in a new Weedwacker so of course, the other team killed me first, lol.

I was pretty sure that was what it was but I wanted to check. I do this a lot myself.

It really works best if the rest of your team knows what you are doing.

Another semi-example of what I mean is lights attacking the other team. If your team is not in on it or not ready, then the lights effects/deaths are often wasted. But if your team is really ready to push at the right time it can be wonderful.

To add to what Tesunie said, you can definitely do it in MWO if you're in a faster, longer ranged mech fighting a slower mech with shorter range. This really only plays out in Scouting. If you take a couple of ~120 KPH mechs with 2-3 ER Large Laser (Ice Ferrets or Cicadas, usually) and focus fire enemy legs on their mechs, you can kite them for days on larger maps. It's a supremely annoying tactic to fight against if your team brought say 4 brawler bushwackers, because you cannot catch them, and cannot fight back unless they make a mistake.

I know o7 (bacon) does this a lot. It's kinda fun to run with them, but its a pain in the *** to fight against.

Yeah, they taught it to me. I decided to become friends with one of them because it sucked to be his enemy, lol. I get asked to join in some Faction Warfare and was surprised at first to see them in Ice Ferretts in scouting. Basically the IFR-P. I looked it up on Metamechs and it literally said to play it like this. The difference in it is its speed. It can go 128.6 KPH stock so it can dance around mediums running 75-80 KPH.

"
  • Hover just on the edge of the enemy’s perception; you don’t have the beef to duke it out, but this is probably the absolute pinnacle of flanking for clan mech. It’s almost trivial to put a couple of alphas into an isolated mech and then flee, or get endless poke while the enemy is distracted by your team."

I should say that it is dated and they have not included the IFR-P. The IFR-P has ECM but they preferred the IFR-D with the CT energy point. I have done this is 12 man games and have tried it in scouting because it has hit me that you could not melee with 4 Weedwackers. But I was doing it on my own.

The first time with o7 they said on TS, we are not sharing armor, lol. So after that match, I changed mechs, lol. I've learned a lot about Faction Warfare period with them. I now have "conquest mechs" etc etc. My Faction Deck is now about 24-26 mechs deep.

If anyone reads this and wants to do one thing they can do that is simple and really works is this. When you lay a strike, say "strike out" on your mic. It tells the other members of your team that they have 5 seconds before the next one comes up. And of course, vice vs.

Often to get a good strike off I take some damage. When I press strike and get hurt and nothing happened because someone dropped one right before I tried to gets me hurt, lol.

I heard that the Shadow Cat was/is good at this sort of thing but you need to be a really good shot with a PPC.

Hey,

Is there a record of how I spent my Cbills? I seem to have less than I remember, can't remember what I bought.

Not that I know of.

There are many things that can deplete C-bills. upgrades on mechs, purchasing armor you didn't have in storage, ammo (crits) you didn't own, etc. Also, if you use consumables you can actually lose C-bills if you did poorly in a match if you repurchase them.

What does error code 63 relate to? I've been having weird connection issues tonight and I don't know if it's PGI's end, my provider's or my computer's

Sounds like your child or room mate took advantage of you leaving your account logged in and blew a bunch of your money & GXP , Keltan.

My question: I thought that at some point I read that engine heat sinks were a bit more efficient than having doubles mounted somewhere else. I moved them around, and the readout remains the same, but I swear I read a post that said they were slightly more efficient. True or false?
