Why are there no CW matches IS vs IS or Clan vs Clan? Both have a lot of infighting.

Why is max tonnage for clan lower?

Why is there no 3rd person view in CW?

Is there a way to move the camera in 3rd person for selfies?

What do you mean no IS vs IS and no Clan vs Clan fighting in CW? Happens all the time.

Clans have a lower max tonnage to help balance them vs IS forces. These weight limits tend to be adjusted from time to time, as it is seen needed for balance. Recall that all CW matches have no mixed tech, so they try to balance any differences between the techs by restrictions such as weight limits for your drop decks.

CW is considered hard mode. This is why 3rd person view was disabled for it. CW is also suppose to be more lore friendly compared to the quick play game modes.

No, not that I know of. Best way to get pictures of your mech is by mechlab screens, or doing a private lobby with a friend (or more) and have one of them either go into spectator mode or take screens of your mech from their own mech.

There are IS vs IS and Clan vs Cla battles in CW.

Tonnage is a matter of balance. The difference is less than it used to be. Also in lore Clans tended to field smaller units (10 vs 12) than IS anyway.

Not sure on the others.

Hey....I cant decide whether to get seismic sensor 2/2 (got 1/2), Artillery upgrade or improved gyros. What would your choice be when you had limited gxp to spend? Is imp. gyros worth it for assaults? I also use kit fox a lot and could need that better arty strike.

Get the Artillery upgrade first, It's useful on all mechs, and isn't an expensive consumable (compared to a module). Next I'd bring Seismic all the way up.

Improved Gyro I almost never hear being used. It's not overly useful. (Hint: With screen shake, your screen will shake, but not your actual aim.)

I must amend myself... does one need to have the strike module's equipped to benefit from there? Last I heard, you bought the skill and it improved all your strikes without any module to buy... Did they change that? Because now I see an "Air Strike Accuracy" module that I can purchase for 4,000,000 C-bills?

If this is the case, finish the Seismic Sensors first...

There is a skill that improves the consumables and a skill to unlock a module to increase accuracy. so two skills actually.

Do ppc quirks apply to ER ppc as well? I ask because the quirks show up on the mech lab when I mouse over the ER ppc I put in my marauder. I do know however that there are some chassis for other mechs that specify ER ppc quirks.

There are plenty of those. You're in House Liao, we have a bunch of matches between Liao and Davion

Different tech, requires different restrictions.

3rd person camera is meant as a crutch to help new players. CW is viewed as role playing mode, and hard mode. So no 3pv. Plus, 3PV can be viewed as an exploit.

No. If you want to take pictures and such I recommend using the Spectator mode, or having someone else tag along in a mech and acting like a camera guy (I recommend the COM-2D since it's got a minimal dashboard that won't interfere with pictures when you disable the HUD (Left Shift + F11)

I honestly prefer seismic more.

I'm fairly certain PPC quirks don't apply to ERPPCs

About the quirks: Last I heared was, that PPC an ERPPC quirks are different things, but LL and ERLL are the same quirk (both Called only LL quirks).

About the Arty Strike: After skilling the upgrade your consumable is called "improved" and has a better effect (I've seen it on the UAVs for sure, which stay a lot longer in the air, after I've made the upgrade). The module should only enhance the effect further :)

How can I equip my stuff from the inventory to a mech? I have plenty of unused weapons which I would like to try in a few new builds.

Got to the mechlab. Mechs can only be equipped with weapons if they have the appropriate weaponpods, eg laser, ballistic or missiles. Plus you need the required slots and the tonnage, dont forget ammoPosted Image

You can only customize owned mechs, no trials.

I know all that. I was specifically talking about the inventory. Whatever I have in my inventory or storage doesn't show up on the mech lab. Should I rather sell all the unused weapons and engines?

I dont, only getting half the value. But its a personal preference i guess. I like to try loadouts quite often so selling and rebuying everytime would make me loose money. But if you have a fixed loadout you can sell the stuff for some cbills.

Each mech you buy comes with armament anyway. But most people customize their loadout.

Yeah I know. Bought me a marauder pack and made a few builds. 3R with 3xAC5 and 4xML is my favourite so far.
Anyway I can't see the option to use my weapons from the inventory to outfit my mechs. Am I missing something?

Btw. How does camo and paint work? I bought a bit of colour and a pattern but so far I can only use it on my marauders. My Firestarter and the 2 gift mechs don't have the paint and pattern when I click on owned.

Thanks for the help.

They should be shown if you have the corresponding weaponslots. There are several filters to the right where the weapons are. Maybe enable or disable them, not beeing in game cant remenber for sure. Turning off filters should show you even the stuff you have but cant equip to the mech you are customizing. They are hidden afaik if they cant be mounted.

Are these camos exclusive to the marauder? There are some restrictions but i dont know them all by the heart.

Hey there, which equipment are you talking about? There are a lot of restrictions, like Kotzi said. E.g. if you have Clan equipment (name beginning with C) you won't see it in the MechLab for IS 'Mechs.
For a more precise help, please state the equipment you are missing in the MechLab.

Camos are only bought for a single Chassis, IIRC.
Colors should be bought globaly. Have you filtered for "Owned" colors and non are showing?

if you get a camo with a pack it is only unlocked for the Mech types in the pack, colours are universal unlocks.

if you get a colour it is unlocked for everything

as for camo if it is "Unlocked" it is for just that chassis e.g. all Marauders, or all Timber Wolf varients, or the "One Shot" is a single application for that specific Mech, if you change the camo and want to put it back you have to pay again, however One Shot only costs something like 10% what the unlock does so if you buy cammo unless you plan to keep changing the camo or own 10+ coppies/varients of a specific Mech the one shot is usualy better value

I do not recomend selling any unused items unless you have more than you are likely to use, and you need the money.

you may have to buy it again later at double the price you received, I usualy keep my Mechs combat ready, on top of that I never sell the commonly used engines, but the engine sizes I rarely use I will keep 2 of each in stock. items I use a lot I will periodically sell off if I get past 50 in stock (and yes it does happen), the items I do not use regularly I still keep 10-30 in stock depending on what it is.

the only parts I do not keep in-stock are "duplicate" omnipods, e.g. the Summoner Legs are all the same so there is no point keeping spares in stock

Also, are you looking in the separate Inventory page from the home screen, or within the mech lab?
If you're in the separate Inventory, all that is is showing you what you've got. To use them on your mech, go into the mech lab drag and drop from the "warehouse" section onto the mech as normal. One column will display how many of each weapon/item you have - if you're very new to the game, lots of these will say 0. An surefire way of seeing whether or not you own something already is to equip it on the mech and see if the C-bill cost to save the loadout changes or not.
Hope this helps!
EDIT: Ok someone else beat me to it. I got nothin
