Does Smurfy's have an export feature that produces the same filetype that the in-game Mechlab reads?
I do most of my theorycrafting during downtime at work, so it'd be nice to be able to just load & go once I get online at home.

It is freaking awesome! Plus you can take a build to the testing grounds before saving and buying whatever. And you can make a mech in the store and take it to the testing grounds and save it if you like it!
P.S. OMG, I need to clean up my 337 bookmarks....

I saw that button and it didn't fully register until like several after hours I logged off, and I was like...what if it does [exactly what you just described]. Thanks for the info!

This tool is awesome! I'd had no idea. One question: How do I export? I'm guessing it is the "Save and Share > Client Link" item? What do I do with that once I have it?

Just guessing, as I'm also new to that site, but the bottom link option seems to be the MWO link. Copy that, then when in game, select "import" and then follow the directions there for pasting a build link in (Control V).

But it can't take 4 C-AC20s. They're bulkier.

Being Clan and all, I'm going to take a guess that ultra or normal is irrelevant as each shoots in similar manners (UACs being able to double tap being the only real difference between the two). So, technically speaking, the Direwolf can take quad UAC20, or dual AC20 (or LBxAC20) and dual UAC20. It would have to 2 tons of space for ammo with full armor, so you'd have to seriously reduce it's armor values to get effective ammo levels... So it comes highly not recommended. Not to mention ghost heat...

So it can do as requested (unless he wants specifically only normal AC20s), but really is not recommended at all for this game. Too hot. Not enough ammo. Very limited in range on a very slow mech...

It takes so much time to go and clean it up afterward.

If you are in the editor here in the forum, you can click on the "Switch" on the top left to switch between text and "code".
I think there are two "easy" ways to paste text into this editor without inserting color-tags.
1. Copy your code from your source (e.g. word or PGI post) to NOTEPAD editor in windows, then copy it from there.
This removes anything that Word is adding for formating.
2. Switch to code view first, then paste your text here, then switch back if wanted.
This should paste the text without any format (e.g. underlines, colors, fonts).
Hope this helps.

Are there any way around the brutal paywall between me and the colors/customizaton, or I really have to pay 3$+ for all the colors not vomit green, or the four really ugly paints I can get for 1,25 million c-bill each (which is absurd aswell)? Can I win some in crates, or through achievements, or IDK get an eight piece starter set for being a good boy, without investing the price of a regular steam game?

Paint colors sometimes go on sale. Keep an eye out for sales (I set myself to watch the announcement sections of the forum, so I get notified as soon as I log onto the forums about sales and events). Sometimes, events also have colors as a prize, though this is rather rare (so far).
Besides the four basic colors for C-bills (which aren't bad colors, but aren't very vibrant), all the other colors are currently available only for MC (besides aforementioned possible prizes from events). So the short answer is no to your question. However, as others have mentioned, you can earn MCs as prizes for doing events.
MC earnings from events is rather common now-a-days, so given long enough you certainly should be able to purchase additional colors from playing the game during running events. I've earned enough MCs to purchase several Hero mechs (when the Hero mechs are on sale mind) already, and still have plenty left if I desired more colors.
Another way to get colors is by preordering mech packs when their early adopters rewards are up. That will give you colors, C-bills, decals and often times even a camo unlock for the mechs being preordered. However, this requires patience, as anything preorder wont be delivered until it's released... But if a mech pack on preorder catches your fancy you can get a reasonable deal for $20-40 (USD). You also get additional prizes during PGI's anniversary event for supporting the game via ordering mech packs and MC. Prizes are random every year, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
However, I will mention, despite all the above this game honestly is completely free to play. Besides Hero mechs (which are just different and normally not more powerful than normal mechs), every mech eventually gets released for C-bills. Camo and colors (as well as decals and cockpit items) are just for looks, and doesn't typically impact game play.

But I came across a few Suggestion for Medium Mechs, but none of those suggested the Blackjack and now I'm curious why?
The Blackjack BJ-3 has high mounted Weapon Hardpoints an a Bonus to PPCs velocity, energy range and Energy heat Generation.
The Shadowcat was often mentioned as a good Sniper, but I don't see that, with arm-mounted weapons and no Bonus like that on the Blackjack.

Generally PPCs do not have much favor in the "meta" community. High heat generally makes them less than ideal. This said, there's nothing wrong with them.
Weapons mounted on the arms have a wide range of vertical reach when using the "o" crosshair separate from the + crosshair.
Unlock arms to make use of it.
Nothing wrong with a Blackjack.
