They haven't changed much.

This said, any around 1,900 (except IS light heroes) worth getting?
(I own all the IS light heroes already)

The Centurion Yen-Lo-Wang (XL300, AC20, 2 mpl, the weapons synchronize with quirks), Hunchback Grid Iron (heavy gauss, 3 ER small, standard heatsinks), and Enforcer Ghillie (gauss or LBX10, 4 medium lasers, ECM+stealth armor) are all pretty fun.

Out of the three the most "meta" is probably the stealth sniper Ghillie, though I use it as a brawler with on-demand radar deprivation for missiles. The Centurion is a brawler/flanker, and the Grid Iron is a cheese mech that supports the big ones with heavy burst damage. I enjoy playing all three quite a lot. If you want the mechDB preview and/or build codes I'd be happy to provide.

Not much of a meta person (I'm legendary or infamous for that), but of those I own the Yen Lo and the Grid Iron.
Don't own a Ghille (though I've had mixed results with all the other Enforcers I own).

Adding it to the list along with the Kitfox, Adder and Cougar heroes.

I enjoy my High Roller. I've never really 100% in sync with it but I still like the thing a lot, running two UAC5s.

Also, since I noticed it was added to the store since I left, the Fafnir hero Wrath is available. I noticed that it is the only Fafnir that is Division 2 in Solaris, so I assume that it is garbage,, right?

Dunno.

But I know the assault heroes are out of my price range (with the sales on real games on Steam, haven't got any interest in buying MC. Which kinda sucks cause I wanna take advantage of the 14 dollar assault mech collections, but.. can't afford both. So buying games it is.)

The main unique thing the High Roller can do IMO is an MRM40 and some lasers and machine guns, which is something the Vindicator 1X can already do extremely well with added jump jets for c-bills. Also the High Roller costs more than 1,900 MC, which was the mentioned budget.

Here we go:

IS Light
Flea Romeo 5K.
Osiris Sekhmet

Clan Light:
(Don't have the Mist Lynx hero but don't care for the chassis)
Kitfox Purifier
Jenner IIC Fury
Cougar Blood Adder
Puma (Adder) "Cinder"

Medium:
Clan
Arctic Wolf Blood Kit
HBK IIC Deathwish

IS
Phoenix Hawk Halo Master Cheif (I mean Kuroi Kiri)
Hellspawn Paralyzer
Enforcer Ghille
Walking Torso (Uziel) Belial.

Those are the mechs in my free MC range.

(That I don't already own.)

Out of all of those I still recommend the Ghillie.

Any votes for others?

(I literally own every other Enforcer, so while I have experience with them and know they are good, I don't really consider it fun; and when I do get a Ghille I'm gonna turn around and give it all the ghille bolt ons I can for the laughs. I know the cloaking device [ECM and stealth armor] can add an additional thril but beyond that, its just another Enforcer. Side note thought it'd be funny to coat a regular Enforcer in ghille suit stuff but it only has one for the back. Posted Image )

(If I go for looks, Cougar's hero stands out as something really dynamic).

If I go for the economy...
Flea hero and Osiris hero, can snag them both in one go.

If I go for favorite chassis, Phoenix Hawk, Adder or Arctic Wolf heroes.

If I go for money making challenge, Uziel hero already equipped for the way I print money, I just have rotten luck with the chassis.

If I go for finishing my collection, the IIC hero is the only Hunchback I don't own.

For something completely new (as in I've never had the chassis), Cougar and Hellspawn.

<.< Think PGI did this on purpose to get people to spend.

Since there is no support area for errors and I've never had a problem answered......

I will ask here. What is "error 52" when you are trying to save a mech's loadout.

It drives me even crazier.

Most likely, I can think of two possible answers:
- Connection issue to the MW:O Servers. AKA: It can't save it right then.
- Invalid loadout: This is when your loadout is not a valid save, such as somehow having the wrong weapon in a hard point, too many armor points in a location, etc. If that is the case, best way to solve it is to strip the mech and start fresh. You may need to even save the mech striped over everything, and then rework the mech. (A rare issue, but it can happen.)

Beyond that, no idea.

I have a few bugs......I should delete the game and reload it..I might have tried that.

OK, new question since that one will never be answered.

For my prize, the Mauler or the Nightstar?

I know the Mauler is "old" and a big target, but there is nothing about the Nightstar I see exciting.

You can also run the repair tool. If you have the standalone launcher (MW:O Portal), then in the patch screen, you should see a gear. One of the options from that should be repair tool. Could save you the time of a complete reload.
If you have the Steam version... I'm a little less helpful there. But I think it's an option from your steam program, in Library...?

As for those mech choices, the Nightstar is heavier, but it's weapons are widely spaced out. The Mauler is a lighter mech, so less health but it's weapons are all better clustered together helping with convergence.

If you don't see anything exciting about the NIghtstar, then get the Mauler. Fairly simple I would think.

If you can install mwo with steam. Much more reliable than mwo's own bootstrapper. Three click fix for any issue with game files.

Error 52 has to do specifically with loadout including an unexpected item. For example the last time I got an error 52 there was a Locust installed in my Locust's left leg as if it were a piece of equipment.

Between the two I prefer the Nightstar. I personally got the Highlander iic as my free mech and bought the same Nightstar as offered (non-champion version) as between the two the Highlander iic was a 100k cbills more expensive.

The other mechs I mostly owned though I admit I didn't own that specific Mauler. In terms of cbills cost though the Mauler is quite affordable while the Nightstar would take a lot of time to save for.

If one were to choose based on economic return the Kodiak would give what is most likely the highest financial return which if I already had them all I would have done.

I can't speak for the hero Cougar but I bought a regular Cougar and it was pretty bad. I feel less exposed in my Awesomes than I did in that Cougar. If piloting an Awesome is like driving a barn then piloting a Cougar is like piloting an aircraft hanger. Well that's my experience anyways. The weapon hardpoints aren't that great overall and honestly the AMS hardpoint in the hero's head is probably more valuable than the missile hardpoints in the arms. At least, that's my read of the chassis. It isn't awful but I don't see any reason to get it while the Kit Fox and Adder exist.

I don't have the Osiris hero but I own two of them and while they're fine the issue is that, well, they're fine. To be honest I don't think I'd ever get the hero Osiris becacuse I own the Commando hero The Death's Kneel that I love and my experience running the Osiris-4D with six medium lasers is that my TDK actually performs better with just four medium lasers in a more traditional light mech roles and that my Blackjack-1X is better as six medium laser poker. Nothing about the Osiris chassis strikes me as bad and the hero seems to have decent hardpoints I wouldn't get it for myself above of any other heroes I was eyeballing. Then again I don't really make use of jumpjets. If you can make jumpjets work for you then the Osiris is probably worth keeping your eyes peeled

Since you used it to compare safety, I just gotta remind you I'm nuts.

Spreading Christmas joy in the form of LRM-60 to all the girls and boys.

I wound up going the economic route of Romeo 5K and the Osiris hero.

The others will just have to wait for the next sale which I'll be ready for.

Of the hero lights offered, if you have an ACH etc then go with the Grinner.

I have 3 KDK-3s, lol.

The only two I do not have is the Mauler and the Nightstar. I just do not see a good build with the NightStar. If anyone knows any, please let me know

I've just recently got the (C) Nightstar. I kinda like it was quad AC5s and two PPCs. It's slow and a little warm, but I've been able to produce reasonable and reliable numbers most every match I've brought it out. Rather you would like it or not, I can't say.

Sometimes happens if there's an error in your inventory counts. For me it's most often consumables.

Given that the hero meta is mostly the same I bought a Tempest. My third match in it:

Spoiler

So like, I guess it ain't a bad choice if you're interested.

Also I love my 8T as well. I prefer it as a sandblaster though.

I got this error a week or two ago and it was failing to mount consumables on my mech even though there was a slot for it. Taking them off allowed it to save, but putting the consumable on failed. I had to exit the game and reopen it to resolve it. Sometimes you get odd errors like that. I think that code stands for invalid loadout though.
