Speaking on behalf of many friends who are waiting not so patiently, I want to complement you and all the development and support staff at Piranha for a damn fine production thus far and for your continued dedication to a hugely popular, complex, and venerable franchise.
Despite the occasional ruffled feathers, complaints, and uncharitable souls, most of us do appreciate the fine balance you are seeking to achieve. Crafting the most kick-*** iteration of the Battletech universe this side of the Inner Sphere and also pleasing your backers, navigating the legal franchise obstacles, and at the end of the day providing a good place to work and paying the bills is a vast challenge.
Thank you for igniting the Battletech fusion engine once more! Thank you for allowing us to blow the snott out of the Davion....um, I mean....the enemy once more, and most of all thank you and your folks for being the awesome group of souls they are!
Frome all of us military types: Aim High! Semper Fi! Bravo Zulu! Oorah!
Dean Deal

That being said, I (and I hope everyone else) really appreciate the honesty, and still look forward to what'll be ready for Open Beta. I may still buy a founder's package, but I'm waiting to see the revisions.
Thanks again for the update!

Russ Bullock, on 15 June 2012 - 01:45 PM, said:
What choice do I have my friend? until a deal is signed in Europe it must be an IF. But I can tell you we have multiple European publishers talking to us about publishing the game in Europe. Things couldn't look better but no deal is signed until it is signed..therefore it must be an IF
The same is true for all regions
so IF a EU deal is signed will EU players that opt to wait get their own inception like action?

In other words, Radeon HD 2### series and up can run it. You just need HD #600 or better.
(To avoid confusion, the model number in Radeon means two things. The first number is a "version" series and the last three numbers are performance grade.)
Dev really need to fix that info.

I also decided while out shopping to take a look at the pc in the box stores, i.e walmart/target and well I hate to tell the devs, maybe you should of looked there before building the game to meet those minimum specs. 80% of the pc offerred in the stores (not online) will barely meet (and I am stretching barely) the minimum requirements. From a marketing standpoint it looks that you may be shooting yourself in the foot, more caterring to the gamer and not the regular household user. I consider most people in the forum as gamers for standpoint of my statement. Most forum users meet the minimum requirements.
I guess I need to look into the engine, or maybe its the mechanics of the game. I come from a gaming standpoint where you want to take the pressure off the cpu and throw it on the video processor. Seems like here we are throwing on the cpu and forgetting about video processor for the most part. This will either force people to upgrade the entire pc vs a card, doesnt make logical sense to me, but that is my opinion.
As for the delay, it happens, been waiting 10 years, few more months or even a year wont kill me.
As for founders packs, I have to say, I really need to see and test something before I throw money at it, even more now with the specs required. To purchase and then to find out game play is gonna suck due to my vintage pc (even though it meets minimums) well makes me have to stand back and ask, do I really want to spend on something I might or might NOT like.
Guess we will see, have few months until open beta but honestly I would at least like to hear some reviews from the closed beta folks with low end pc on the the game play.

Time to get that Founders Package.
Has anyone answered already if we get to test mechs before we choose one?
Now if only they had finished this game a year earlier, that would have saved me 5€.^^
