The Shadow Hawk looks to be ever so slightly taller than a Hunchback. And the Hunchback is a rather small Medium.

I have to say though, the scaling on the T-Bolt and SHD look great. Not too big, not to small.

My Thunderbolt prediction of being Centurion height was spot-on, apparently.

I'm also completely surprised that the Shawk seems to be scaled fairly well. Being wrong rarely feels this good.

Huh. The shadowhawk looks pretty skinny, actually. And I thought the Thunderbolt was way bigger! Or perhaps I've simply forgotten how big the Centurion is. Curious about hitboxes, but this is good news.

Mechs that are scaled to the proper size for their role AND weight class?

Say it ain't so.

Way to go PGI. You may be able to pull this thing off yet.

Here's hoping we don't get in game and realize that it's actually terribad and only looked right cause of the perspective

For reference, here is a Centurion compared to a Jenner:

So it looks like the Shawk is close to Cent height and leaner.

Well, at least the SHD wont be Atlas sized. And honestly, being the size of the Centurion isn't bad at all, it isn't exactly massive.

Neg, the Shadowhawk looks to be a fair bit taller than the Hunchback:

See how the Jenner reaches to roughly the hips of both the Centurion and Shadowhawk?
Still can't really tell the exact size of the Shawk though, since it's legs seem longer than the Cent's, but it's torso looks shorter.
Honestly I'm ok with it being the size of a tall 50-tonner. Much better than the height of a Victor..

EDIT: haha FupDup beat me to it!

Problem is, the angle on the SHD comparison photo makes it look way taller.

Even it out, and the Jenner should be taller than the SHD's hips, which is why I say it looks to be slightly taller than a Hunchback. But even if it's taller than that, anything between Centurion and Hunchback height is more than acceptable.

Good, imagine the shitstorm that would ensue if they had stuck with their old ways of scaling mechs. A nice sigh of relief. OH WAIT! THEY DID FOR THE SHADOW HAWK! : (

Wow I sort of expected the Thunderbolt to be a bit taller than a Centurion... guess the thing's taller than I thought. Still I guess that's good news though. Not to mention it was nice of them to post something about the forums exploded over the subject.

Great, now if PGI could please make the Centurion and Trebuchet Hunchback-size, so they aren't Heavy-Assault Mechs anymore, k thx.

At least part of that is perspective, the shadow hawk is standing in front of the Jenner and this appears taller in relation than it otherwise would.

It's a huge relief, actually. Based on past mechs (partiularly the Centurion) I was expecting the Shadow Hawk to look like this:
